Thiscampaign would have more impact if consumers write and requestcontributing sponsors pulltheir support of the Sochi Winter Olympics 2014 with theintent that support be reinstated once a new location beawarded. The International Olympic Committee has not beensignificantly moved by countries, athletes or public outcry. To trulymove them, the money needs to be at risk. I feel our best option isto hit hard the sponsors of theevent:

Writethem letters, encourage them to pull their support, use and share this campaignto avoid purchasing their products and let them know why.The link has a complete list of international sponsors.
Russia'sinhumane treatment of LGBT community where beatings, murders andhumiliations are ignored by the police. Defence or sane discussion ofhomosexuality is against the law. It is the opinion of this campaignthat it is wrong to reward Russian law makers and politicians thehonour of hosting an event where it's central motivation is annondiscriminatory competition, to "encourage and supportinitiatives blending sport with culture and education" and"cooperate with the competent public or private organizationsand authorities in the endeavour to place sport at the service ofhumanity and thereby to promote peace".
To put it succinctly, the IOC, Russia, Olympic Sponsors and Suppliers, are asking the world, the world;
"Come to our dinner party. Please ignore the beaten person in the corner. We have 'strong assurances' the blood won’t get into your food."
