Although this is not a screamer of a video card (launched in 2011), it still can fill a need in today's computer market. I was looking for the ability to inexpensively provide dual video capability to a business client's computer and this legacy card has done just that. It can be normally found for a good price, just be sure you get the adapter 'Y' cable with it.

Works perfect for my Amatuer Radio Station dual monitor setup on digital mode. Installation was a breeze and worked perfect right out of the package. 73, 57fueliechevy

This card was installed in a Dell Optiplex 755 system running the Lubuntu 16 (32-bit and 64-bit) Linux distribution. The system started up properly and automatically selected the Nouveau NVidia drivers. The only minor glitch observed was in OpenGL. Even with lighting effects GL_LIGHTING disabled, some lighting effects (pixel colour interpolation, brightness changes during a rotation) remain enabled with GL_FLAT shading, which appear as a blocky patchwork of coloured fragments. It is uncertain if this is due to the NVS 300 card itself, or due to the card drivers. No problems were seen running programs that enabled OpenGL lighting effects.
