I upgraded very old Genie garage door opener that is configured with 9 dip switches: model AT85P @ frequency 390. The installation was very easy. One criticism is that the power supply is old-styled made of coils that weighs a ton. The electric recepticle is on the ceiling and it's too heavy to stay plugged in. I had to use extra wire to secure it in place.

Bought this item a few months ago and just now got the chance to install it. It was very easy to install, as long as you follow the directions. The only issue I encountered with it was I didn't do the remote operation properly and it didn't work at first. When I tried it a second time it worked as it should have the first time. What I didn't do the first time was finish the install of the button pushing. I forgot to do the last push of the button to acknowledge that the button I wanted to set was the right one. Now all is good and my garage door has a working remote again. Happy day.
