An worker at Eggland's Best recently took some undercover video of several of the egg factory farms that supply Eggland’s Best. The conditions will disgust you. The misery and suffering that these animals endure is the stuff of nightmares. Watch the undercover footage and see for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=Dt8Zs3C4G-E Egg industry cruelty must be stopped. If you’ve ever signed petitions calling on companies to go "cage-free", your signature paid off! Hundreds of top food retailers and restaurants (including Walmart, Kroger, Albertsons, Safeway, McDonald’s, and Starbucks) have pledged to go cage-free in just the past year. They changed because people like you are outraged by the millions of egg-laying hens suffering in filthy wire cages so small the birds can’t even spread their wings. You took action, and they changed. But Eggland’s Best seems stuck in the past, so we need to let them know we won't be buying their products until they pledge to stand up against abuse. Thousands of hens are crammed inside cages so small the birds can’t freely walk, spread their wings, or even rest comfortably. Theysuffer from feather loss caused by rubbing against the bars of their tiny wire cages. And countless dead hens are left to rot in cages with live birds still laying eggs for human consumption.
It’s time for Eggland’s Best to commit to a 100 percent cage-free policy—just like so many other major companies have already done! Please, take a moment to join this campaign and tell others so we can leverage our consumer power and make change by "voting with our wallets". Thank you. “Jeff” (Whistleblower) |
