Great strings and they keep their tone

The only other reviewer said they lost their tone in 2 days - really.... These strings come sealed in a plastic cover to keep them fresh and I don't have any problems with them losing tone, at least not any worst than other brands and better than most. Strings seem to last pretty long for me anyway, I have always heard it's about your "hand sweat" and how acidic it is. A friend of mine changes his strings weekly, I can go much longer and these sound great. Those Elixor strings seem to give a muffeled tone to me, kind of like a cheap guitar. The price I got these for was great (they were on sale) but even at this price for a 3 pack is very affordable. Try a pack, I've been playing for 45 years and think they're great.

These strings sound and last longer than any other I've tried on my J45. I'm not easy on guitar and these hold up great, I can't tell the number of sets of these I've used over the years. I've tried just about every other brand out there and always come back to these because the way they hold their tone.

#sweepstakes These D'Addario EJ16-3D Phosphor Bronze Light strings are the only acoustic strings I use. They ring out loud, clear and distinct. They are not too bright and bring out great bass on the acoustics. Put all this together with an even tone across the strings and you can't go wrong. This is backed by a player playing guitar for 60 years.

  • Good strings. Nice sound.

I broke The high E string and two different brands before I tried these. No issues with them. I am an older learner with arthritis in my left hand, so I wanted to start with light strings. These sound great on my Martin.

I have used only D'Addario Strings on all my guitars as long as I've played. My cousin (my teacher as well), has been using them since the mid 90's. Plenty of pros have used them for as long or longer. Can't go wrong with made in NY, USA!!! #sweepstakes

Being a "vintage player", when Martin changed their string names and nomenclature I was lost. I tried to figure which ones I'd been using and failed! I found D'Addario strings and I found home again! I felt like, with only two exceptions, that they had me covered on so many guitar types I couldn't believe it!

Is the string a set of 3? Like 18 total strings or just 3 strings for the same chord?

This is a 3 pack, so you would get three 6 string sets.
