DigiTech TRIO+ Band Creator + Looper Demonstration Video

DigiTech TRIO+ Band Creator™ + Looper Introduction

Description
The DigiTech TRIO+ band creator + looper is an advanced guitar effects pedal that lets guitarists instantly create bass and drum tracks to jam with. The TRIO+ builds on the pioneering TRIO pedal with even more features for practice, songwriting and live performance. This powerful pedal listens as you play, generating bass and drum parts that match your chords, tempo, and style. TRIO+ also includes a looper, drum machine, metronome and more—everything you need to develop and strengthen your guitar skills.
Band Creator Generates Realistic Bass and Drum Tracks
The TRIO+'s Band Creator function listens as you play guitar and creates bass and drum parts to match your chords and rhythm. Choose from over 50 musical styles like rock, blues, jazz, metal and R&B, select a tempo and TRIO+ will generate complete backing tracks with different basslines and drum patterns for you to solo, riff or practice over. The bass and drums sound amazingly realistic, inspiring you to play and create.
Looper Records and Loops Your Guitar Parts
In addition to the Band Creator, TRIO+ includes a dedicated looper function. Record up to ten minutes of CD-quality loops to play along with the bass and drums or build complete multi-instrumental backing tracks. Overdub as many guitar parts as you like with undo and redo functions. Sync your loops to the tempo of the bass and drums or set your own tempo. The looper is a great tool for songwriting, learning and live performance.
Drum Machine, Metronome and Tuner Round Out the Features
The TRIO+ provides a full set of tools for practice and performance. Select from over 50 drum patterns in any style and tempo to play along with. The built-in metronome offers a visual beat indicator and multiple time signatures for developing your rhythm and timing skills. An onboard tuner lets you quickly tune your guitar before playing. The TRIO+ runs on a 9V adapter and provides 1/4" inputs and outputs for integrating into your pedalboard or amp setup.

Fantastic!!!
Listen, friends, there are a lot of negative comments about the Trio Plus in some online reviews. Learn how to use it before you post negative comments. I do not work for Digitech or Guitar Center. But I have been a gigging musician of 50 years. I play in a full band and a solo act as well. The Digitech Trio is a phenomenal piece of gear. It took a few days to figure out all the possibilities but it was well worth the time spent getting acclimated to it. I have been sequencing on keyboards since sequencing was invented, and sequenced well over 3000 songs and hundreds more for others. This Trio Plus is the easiest of all my gear to work with. Many say it can't be used in live applications. Sure it can. I use it every week. And not just simple basic lines, I have songs like Crossroads, (Clapton), Call Me The Breeze, (Skynyrd) Communication Breakdown (Zep), well you get the point, sequenced in this. 12 songs per micro SD card is equal to more than a full set of music, so for all night gigs, I have 4 or 5 cards already programed, just pop a new one in between sets and the next hour is ready to gig. It IS capable of complex progressions which sound darn near the originals. It is dynamic in its response, has a great sound through a full range PA system or a Bose Compact. My solo gigs are soaring to new heights, and the audience response is better than ever. The quick start guide is lame, I admit, so be sure to download the manual. But even that is weak. Take your time and learn how to set it up. I am now sequencing whole songs and tweaking them in less than 10 minutes. And if you download the Trio Manager (its free online from Digitech) you can back up your work easily, and move songs to new cards to change things up for gigs. I honestly don't understand people who post negative stuff about new gear before they really learn it. I am so thrilled with this that I am buying another just as a backup before my next gig. Seriously, if you love playing out, learn it and use it.

Cool Yet Forgetful
Bought my TRIO+ in January 2017 - fun gadget for a one-man-band songwriter who sits in front of his DAW all day watching little colored tracks moving left to right. Most useful for testing out new song ideas, where I just strum the chords and rhythm on a guitar or digital kbd and select one of the 100+ bass/drum backing tracks and run the result into my DAW. I use it every day - it's the quickest way to test. And then.. there's the problem... the one not often mentioned... this thing seems menstrual in that it frequently decides to just slow down and bleed the playback tempo of your whole song - renders it useless.. it then gets erased and the TRIO+ gets a complete reset, and sometimes tempos will be correct after that reset... sometimes they still drag. I've had to unplug it for hours before it regained proper tempo. Came close just last night to taking a sledge hammer to it - Real Close!! Digitech won't fess up to the flaw and leaves their support guys out on a limb looking for answers. BUT... Besides all that, I swear by this thing for getting song ideas to test quick.

I really enjoy this pedal. The learning curve is steep and takes some patience to learn. None the less, it's super fun and makes practice way more lively. I set it up to work with and around my Spark amp. That created a whole set of cable routing problems. Not an issue with the trio as its designed for that work around.
Very cool pedal that is fun to play

I am very pleased with this pedal. It was impulsive purchase, but I don't regret it. Not sure about giging with it, but for home use and practice it's awesome.
Great for people with no imagination or talent

My title headline is a bit tongue in cheek, but it's really true. This is the beginning of what will inevitably be... and that is a machine that writes and performs songs and albums for you. While it can improve improv playing to some extent, in the end this will only serve as a crutch, making one think they are much better than they actually are. I give it only 3 stars, because it is still limited in it's range of functions, and because it is somewhat of a disservice to music and to those striving to be someone on their own merit. To say it is a shortcut is an understatement. It's a flat out falsehood, in that it makes people think they have talent when they really don't, and in that it strips out the imagination and personal creativity that makes music special. But that's the way of today's world, so have fun and become a superstar. Lol.
It feels so real!

I can use the TRIO with an accoustic guitar or just with an electric one?
I’m very sorry. Your question is not clear. You can use it with anything that has a pick up and output signal. Acoustic guitars don't have pups.submitted3 years ago
