Sound Your Best, Wherever You Are

Your non-stop life keeps you on the move. You answer a call in the car, keep talking out on the street, and say your goodbyes while leaving the coffee shop—and you expect to sound your best everywhere. The Plantronics Voyager Edge Bluetooth headset reliably eliminates unwanted noise with three precisely tuned microphones and enhanced noise canceling, optimizing your voice so your caller hears you, not your surroundings. Additionally, this headset is ready for wideband audio, making it compatible with smartphones enabled for HD Voice.

Carry the Conversation, Not the Phone

Voyager Edge packs in responsive features to let you answer calls, use voice commands, and hear important status notifications without even looking at your phone. Smart sensor technology senses when the headset is being worn so it can automatically answer calls as you place the headset on your ear or redirect audio to your phone when you set down your headset. Voyager Edge syncs to your contacts, telling you who's calling before you answer and voice commands make call management easy—simply say "Answer" to take the call, or "Ignore" to send it to voicemail. Now your "phone hand" can carry a latte, greet someone, or open a door.

Performance and power to keep your conversation going (view larger).

Stay Connected Longer

Be ready when life calls. Using the portable, wireless charging case to top up your Voyager Edge between calls will keep you powered throughout your day by giving you up to 10 additional hours of talk time. Status alerts announce when it's time to recharge, but if at any time you're curious, use a voice command to hear remaining talk time, visually check battery status on your smartphone, or dock your Voyager Edge in its case and tap the touch-sensitive icons to see the meter LEDs light up.

Fully charged case gives your Voyager Edge up to 16 hours of talk time (view larger).

Enhanced by Free Plantronics Apps

Simplify your communication experience with a variety of free apps from Plantronics for both iOS and Android devices.

Use the free Plantronics Hub ™ app to explore features, change settings, check the connection, battery and smart sensor status, and even help you locate your lost headset. If you misplace your Voyager Edge, use the Find MyHeadset feature to send an audible tone to help you locate it nearby, or if it's out of Bluetooth range or powered off, you can use the Backtrack activity log to map where it was last in use. The Find MyHeadset feature is part of the Plantronics Hub app for iOS but remains a standalone app for Android.

To help you sort through your busy workday, the Plantronics InstantMeeting app automatically identifies conference calls and dialing details from your calendar, reminds you just before the meeting is scheduled to begin, and with one touch connects you to your conference call—no need to pull over and toggle between screens to find all those numbers and access codes.

Best Professional Bluetooth Headset On The Market.
5 out of 5 stars
Best Professional Bluetooth Headset On The Market.
I love it. I simply adore this headset. Don't get me wrong, it has it's flaws. But overall, I will always go back to this headset I work at a desk, and I love to multitask; productivity is absolutely essential to me. This headset provides me with CRYSTAL CLEAR voice quality while dishing out the same quality to those on the other end of the call. It's initially comfortable and with several different ear-tips its not a bad wear. It looks pretty stylish, although it does look like you work at a call center. The only con that I gotta say is that if you plan on wearing this all day like me, 4+ hours. be prepared for a sore ear. I swap ears after about 3-4 hours because my ear starts to ache, I've tried switching ear piece sizes but the smaller one hurts more. I don't see other post about this, but I am experiencing it. So use may vary depending on shape of ear. IRREGARDLESS I love this headset. It's still worth the price, and I won't stop using it. If you're doubting getting it because of the potential ear ache after 4+ hour use, I promise you it's worth it.

The Plantronics Voyager Edge is an impressive headset, and packs the right balance of features, usability, and comfort to make it the go to choice for high end bluetooth headsets. Let me start by saying that I have for years been a Jawbone user. Without turning this into a complete Jawbone rant I will warn those comparison shoppers out there—a group to which I belonged—beware of the latest Jawbone offering. Having been a longtime user of the original Jawbone, then the Era, I initially sought out the new Jawbone Era, despite shoddy reviews. And this, even after having read such positive reviews of the Edge. Save yourself the trouble and go with the Edge.

The Edge, unlike the new Era, provides great sound quality for the people with whom you are speaking on the other end. This would seem to be a primary qualifier for any headset that you are going to drop over $100 on. After all, who wants a headset that nobody can hear you on? I have had the Edge for several weeks and regularly solicit feedback on the call quality from those on the other end. So far so good.

The Edge has great battery life. I listen to a lot of podcasts, audiobooks, and internet radio with the headset. I have found this to be one of the most enjoyable features of the newer bluetooth headset capabilities. Although not scientifically based, I don’t doubt the 6 hour talk time estimate, and the handy charger case makes it very convenient to extend the time well beyond that.

The Edge is the most comfortable headset I have tried out of the box. I have very small ears and have historically used a custom made insert with my headsets. Although I will continue to do so, I have been using the small silicone insert that came with the Edge and have been pleasantly surprised. I can wear the Edge for about 2 hours at a time before my ear becomes fatigued. One downside, however, is that it doesn’t form a tight seal. This means you will often have to crank the volume up to be able to hear in noisy environments. This is a fairly small quibble, and one that will be fixed with a custom ear insert.

The size of the headset was an initial detractor. I was used to the tiny Era (original) and had then tried the even tinier new Era. But I found that small size definitely does not equal better quality. While the size is considerably larger than its chief competitor at Jawbone, it is not a heavy headset, and is still very comfortable. An unforeseen benefit of the Edge’s size is that it is harder to lose. Much to my chagrin, I have lost or accidentally washed my previous Era headsets (while in pants pockets) more times than I’d like to admit. I don’t think I’m as likely to do that with this headset, which is a bit meatier and more apparent when in a pocket.

Finally, the sound quality for streaming audio may be the one area in which the Edge doesn’t beat out the Era. Era’s HD audio is still superior, but not by a wide margin. I’m obliged to mention this, but I wouldn’t let it deter anyone’s decision on whether to use this headset over another, particularly the Era. Plantronics has created a winner here, and I hope to have many more months and even years of good use from this headset.

First of all, I spent a bunch of time trying to get the MyHeadset Updater working on an old Windows netbook and a Windows VM to no avail. Then I just went to: [...], selected the Edge, and downloaded. Lo and behold it was a DMG file and contained what seems to be a working MyHeadset Updater app for Mac! Very happy to find this, they may have JUST released that this morning.

For the headset itself, I've had it two days and I remain cautiously optimistic. s goal is to replace a desktop Plantronic Savi 740 with something that can talk to my laptop and cell phone, and be more portable. Big pros in my book:

    1) Pairs to my android (with a nice app to show battery life and change settings) AND to my Mavericks Macbook Air
    2) Seems to work ok for Skype and other VOIP apps (Zoiper) with a little fiddling on the Mac. I tried disabling the streaming music setting and this broke the mac connection, so I guess it needs to stay on.
    3) Case/charger is a nice feature, I would have no hesitation tossing this into my bag for a trip.
    4) Rubbery ear pieces fit in my ear nicely, it is comfortable and feels quite secure. I'm not sure I'd jog with it, but for office work, not a problem.

    Cons so far:
    1) Had some issues with a Lync meeting running on my Mac in a browser window. To be fair, I'm not sure I consider this a problem (except with the person running Lync meetings)
    2) Had some weird freakout as the result of the above where I had to restart bluetooth on my mac.
    3) Can't seem to get the headset buttons to trigger a voice search on my Android, though I'd guess this works fine on an iPhone. Maybe more of an android thing.
    4) Emits weird beeps during calls that I'm not sure the meaning of. Probably I just need to read the manual.

I'll try to update if I end up sending back or keeping and further experience.

    Update: June 19th 2014
I still have this and have been using it steadily since I got it. I have occasional bluetooth issues, but nothing restarting the bluetooth on my computer or phone doesn't seem to address and not super frequent. I'm hoping a future firmware upgrade will clean up these minor issues (or a new laptop with updated bluetooth), but it's not so bad currently.
I find I'm able to use this to easily replace a desktop headset for medium work use, and I barely notice it in my ear (sometimes I think it's there, but it isn't). It's also great that I can jump in the car with the same headset.
I can't say this is the same quality as a USB-connected DECT headset in terms of sound quality, but the versatility of it seems to work great and I'm not having issues understanding or being understood on calls.

I've been using the Plantronics Voyager Edge headset for about a year and a half. It's an OK headset, but I don't like it as well as my previous Motorola HX550, which I loved but couldn't purchase any longer. What I like about the Plantronics Voyager Edge: The sound quality is very good - both incoming and outgoing. The battery life is decent (not as good as the Motorola). I probably talk on it about 1-2 hours per day. I have to charge it up about every third or fourth day. It came with the charger case, which would be nice if you talk on the headset a lot. What I don't care for in the Plantronics Voyager Edge: It is not as easy to keep in my ear as the Motorola was - it's not terrible, but not great. To me, the Plantronics is a little too loud even at the lowest setting. I have very sensitive ears, so for me it's almost a deal breaker. It might work well for someone who has hearing difficulties. I had trouble with the automated features, so I just manually turn it on / off when needed. One thing that I found very annoying is that every time it answers a call, it says this long message about "answering call, talk time is 3 hours." When all you want to do is answer your call, that message delays you and is very annoying. The worst thing about the headset is that for some unknown reason, it sometimes won't answer the call even if you say "answer" when it asks "answer or ignore". Then you miss your call. Every once in a while, I turn on the headset to answer a call, and it completely shuts down my phone! Then I have to restart my phone and call the caller back. Can't figure out why that happens sometimes.

Arrived within estimated time frame. Australia & Asia edition, so limited languages. In perfect condition, looks brand new. Have been using it for 3 months 10hrs/day in an outdoor workplace, earpiece fits very well, has been dropped from 20ft onto concrete. Absolutely no issues, very pleased with this refurb. product. Pairs with 2 devices, will handoff between devices. I occasionally have trouble hearing callers due to environmental noise ie. traffic, jet planes etc. The noise elimination is great the other end of the line hears only me in these cases (very noisy environments) shouting into the piece. Charge case is very handy, voice prompts are given when battery is getting low and needs some more juice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eccellente ed Efficiente
Reviewed in Italy on November 21, 2015
Cura molto i vari Dettagli SOSTANZIOSI dell'apparecchio...
Credevo di no...
Insomma... Consigliatissimo! (non comprerò mai più Jabra)
    Amazon, come sempre... Eccellente!

5.0 out of 5 stars Beste Entscheidung als Nachfolger für das Plantronics Discovery 925
Reviewed in Germany on April 21, 2016

Blueetoth einschalten, Headset einschalten. Freiwilliges Koppeln? Fehlanzeige.

Abschließend: Das Lade-Etui - macht schon was her.

    Alles in allem: Absolute Kaufempfehlung.

Reviewed in Germany on April 21, 2016

Blueetoth einschalten, Headset einschalten. Freiwilliges Koppeln? Fehlanzeige.

5.0 out of 5 stars muy práctico, máxima calidad
Reviewed in Spain on June 9, 2016
llevo un mes usándolo y estoy bastante contento:
    PROS
