    ユダヤ人として迫害されてアメリカに亡命したルドルフ・ゼルキンの後を追ってアメリカに渡ったアドルフ・ブッシュ。質実剛健なブッシュにとって、アメリカは暮らしやすい土地だったのだろうか。
    自前の室内オーケストラを切り盛りするJ.S.バッハの作品では、ガッチリとした演奏を聴かせる。
    アメリカに仕事に来ていた兄フリッツと共演したベートーヴェンのヴァイオリン協奏曲は、じっくりと味わうように弾くブッシュのソロとニューヨーク・フィルハーモニックの音色の特性が今一つかみ合わず、思ったほどの感銘は受けない。
    最後のロマンス２曲は、ブッシュの癒されぬ疲労感が色濃くにじみ出ていて、能天気なオーケストラが恨めしく感じられる。
