I have collected pens for many years, inexpensive to very expensive. This Invincia rollerball is a quality pen at a good price, in my opinion. I gave it 5 starts, despite the one drawback: The refill. If you do as I did, and replace the refill with a better one, then this pen has it all, including excellent weight (mid-weight; it's not too heavy, not too light -- just right), excellent hand feel with nice feel in the grip area, quality construction, and very nice cap retention and release. The cap seats very nicely, with a final tension as it closes completely. Uncapping it requires only a few quick turns and is not laborious to uncap, as are some other brands/models that require multiple turns to get the cap off.
Regarding the refill, the Monteverde refill that comes with it is not very good. Some folks might find it acceptable, but I highly recommend a Faber-Castell rollerball refill (1487.30) or the Pelikan 338. Either one is far superior to the Monteverde, with its scratchy feel and weak ink delivery. Some reviewers have recommend the Pilot G2 refill, but it does not fully extend from the end of the pen and does not look nice as a result. The two refills I mentioned fully extend from the tip of the pen and look and feel excellent. The pen restrains the refill tightly, so there is no movement, clicking, or popping as you write -- no wiggling of the refill within the pen.
I am very happy with the pen and highly recommend it, IF the refill is changed. If you are pretty particular and demanding about your nice pens, this one will prove to be a winner.
