All other whiteboards this big with wood frames are at least $50, so this is a steal, but it is rather poorly made. The wood frame is stapled together and the corners are rough. The whiteboard itself doesn't erase cleanly and makers leave smeared color behind. It IS functional despite all this. I wouldn't recommend it for active use in teaching or anything. It is fine if you want something on your wall to write on every once in a while.
I purchased this board because I wanted to create a small home-office area within my poor, recently graduated finances. All in all its a pretty good whiteboard. I especially like that it is big enough to be useful while designing something or working through a problem (I like to use it when developing software.)
The one drawback to the board is that erasing sometimes takes some effort. You'll definitely want to have whiteboard cleaner on hand. Also, the package doesn't include anything beyond the two metal tabs used to mount the board to the wall, which means you'll have to buy screws & anchors, including screws to attach the tabs to the board itself.
The frame doesn't seem durable, so I wouldn't let kids play with this. I have mine hanging on the kitchen wall for our family activities. I had some things written on it for a few months, and they were really hard to wipe off. I used a little nail polish remover on a paper towel, and it cleaned up perfectly.
The board is large and you can write on it. You do get what you pay for, the price is great. The quality is ok cheap looking wood sides, doesn't wipe off too well. I have to buy a cleaner every so often.
