Wery beautyful music and sounds. Singing of monks makes you very peaceful. It's like you becoming closer to Japaneese culture.

Complex and violent sounds that evoke distant and ancient environments . Not everyone will appreciate this kind of sound, but certainly all come back into an ancient world that we, modern people, do not know.

I listen to this CD at least weekly, especially when I've had a rough day and want something to relax to. The combination of chanting and ambient beats is amazing.

I have had this CD for over a year and it is one that continually inspires me--whether for writing, folding clothes, or (having given this CD to my spinning class i nstructor and she loves it and uses it often in class) spinning, it is one of the best motivational, inspirational sounds I've encountered in a long tine. Track 3 is dynamite.
I often put on the repeat button and listen to the whole thing several times in one sitting. This is one of Pacific Moon's best releases (and I have quite a few). Take a chance--get this CD. I think you will not be disappointed.

If you're looking for he skill and talent of the likes of Jia Peng Fang or Mizuyo Komiya, don't, I repeat-don't look here. While having some interesting elements, East Wind and Prayer are the only Asian albums I have purchased that have woefully dissapointed me. I love eclectic blends of Asian music combined with true talent. Neither East Wind nor Prayer appeal to me as anything close to enjoyable and aren't even in the same category as Jia Peng Fang or Mizuyo Komiya. Save your $$ unless you enjoy Hip/Hop/Fusion/Asian/Ornamental blends not altogether well executed.

I found this album only somewhat more interesting than "East Wind," but still altogether unappealing.

I've just received and listened to this excellent album. Japanese Buddha chants meet western music. Similar to Enigma, but more uplifting. Have 2 cds by this group - now waiting for the third!

An almost perfect description would be to think of Enigma's first Gregorian chant-laden album (MCMXC AD) but then substitute the Western religious chanting with Japanese Buddhist Chanting! Its a little more 'dance music' than MCMXC AD which doesn't suit my taste and I suggest its less melodic and catchy than Enigma. The thumping bass drum becomes a little wearing after a while and it leaves one crying out for a little slower paced and more 'mystical' sounding music.
