The tense marriage between two artists is disrupted when the husband's provocative nude model ignites his wife s sexual and spiritual awakening. In a three way game of subtle seduction, each confronts unfulfilled desires and festering frustrations that threaten to destroy the illusions of their lives. Mary Shaw's (Irina Björklund) signature blood paintings have made her a celebrity in the art world. Meanwhile, her husband, David Stellar (Peter Franzén) has hired the seductive blue-eyed model Julie Belle (Eliza Pryor Nagel) for his own artistic endeavors. Curious and fascinated by Julie's free spirit, outrageous honesty, and ambiguous sexuality, Mary develops an intimate friendship with her which leads Mary to reassess her carefully constructed existence and the intimacy seriously lacking in her marriage. David fights to keep his relationship with Mary intact as Julie emotionally intertwines with the couple, wreaking havoc on all of their lives. In danger of losing everything that meant anything to her, Mary tries to break through her past and discover what it means to be truly free.
Review
The performances are uniformly honest and multi-dimensional. This film will linger with you like the memory of a brief, passionate love affair. --Tim Rhys, Moviemaker Magazine

For some dumb reason I liked this movie, because I thought the character Mary, looked a little bit like the singer Paloma Faith. I liked her, the husband David was terrible. He didn't fit with Mary. The story line was interesting.
This is a sad 3 character drama - supposedly artists in NYC, spiraling around as the female lead (Bjorklund) is going through some undefined artistic crisis. There's neither nudity, nor any real passion contained in this sad work. There seemed to be some potential - but it never got off the sticky floor. I wasted my time hoping to see something.. anything of insight or vague entertainment. Feel free to do the same, just know that the only feeling you'll enjoy, is your own sense of relief when the final credits roll.
This movie had the potential to be entertaining but failed to deliver much in the way of the sexual tension it promised. I guess when a movie has two attractive actresses and the only nudity is a two second shot of the husband naked You know visually it's not very interesting. It was watchable but more like an average soap pg rated. As soon as it was over I forgot most of it, no lasting impressions and really not worth the $2.00 rental.
The heading is adapted from the screenplay. A movie that deserves a broader awareness. Bjorklund and Franzen exude an uptight sensuality condign to their off-screen marriage..
I watched this entire boring movie waiting for it to make sense. Then it just stopped. No ending, no conclusion, nothing, just that's it folks. I really don't like movies that have not plot, no storyline. Then was just random video shots.
