    I like this ruler, the markings on it are clear if a tad confusing, having the marking on a half inch rather than the inch, but squaring up blocks are much easier that way. But does it sharpen the blade? I don’t really think so, in fact, I might go as far as to say it made my 28 mm blade dull like it was scraping off the edge. My 60 mm blade may have been sharper, but it was new and shouldn’t have been giving me trouble anyway as it was. But it did seem to be somewhat sharper but not what I expected. But I am glad I went with this Sullivan because of the markings; my old 12 1/2 in.² has been sliced up and chewed off at the corners so it was time to get another one and why not this one.

    Four-star is only because I don’t think it holds up to it’s claims as to sharpening blades.

    Blades last about four times longer. Frosting not as opaque as some of the older rulers are. Some of the newer cutting edge rulers are listed as clear not frosted. The rulers pay for themsleves. I am in the process of replacing most of my rulers with cutting edge clear rulers.
