3 of the 4 glasses are perfect. One looks like it is drunk. The bottom of the glass is at an angle, and it leans the whole glass to the side. I will be contacting the company. Packaging was fantastic: Heavy cardboard with lots of bubble wrap. I would order again and they seem to be sturdy enough to last a long time. Overall, I'm very happy!
I was happy with these glasses until I saw them at my membership warehouse store for 1/3th the price! These are about $6 apiece here, and only about $2 ea. at kost-coh.
At first I became excited: finally wine glasses that are close to the table! less change of spilling the wine. Long live white table cloth. But. These wine glasses are made from a very thick glass, and look and feel like ice tea glasses, not even close to impersonate true wine glasses. I thought they will be delicate, thin and musical, sans stems. Yet, they are think, bulky and not attractive. Fail.
When my wife saw these she told me that it was a waste of money as we already had wine glasses. Now she is such a fan of the design that she uses them for all kinds of liquids all the time. They are space spacing in comparison to stemware and have a pleasant style and feel to them without being expensive.
I bought a set of these in a store, and when I couldn't find them there I bought them online. Terrible, nothing like the ones I bought originally. Lines in the glass, weirdly thick, bottom of glass was uneven and not flat, causing them to rock. Disappointed in the quality. These are like second run glasses you'd buy at an outlet store. Beware!
I will start by echoing another review that I was well pleased with the apparent durability of the glasses. The thickness of the glass is substantial and they feel very sturdy in your hand - but they DO fit my hand nicely (and I'm a small lady). I was also pleased with the overall size / capacity of the glass. Thank goodness it was a bit (smaller) than I had envisioned. I don't know exactly what I was thinking with that... These are a good size. They are not huge. 15 oz if you fill them to the rim. The mouth opening is approx. 2.5" in diameter, and best I can tell, the widest point is 3.25" in diameter. They stand about 4.5" tall, and weigh approx 6 1/2 oz. each. These are not fine crystal... but seem to be good quality, and I am happy with the purchase. Oh, I will say this... They all arrived alive, each glass in one piece and unscathed, but it did seem that the box was a bit over sized for these glasses. Each glass had a fair amount of wiggle room in it's own quadrant, and was not individually bubble wrapped or anything. I actually saw the carrier sort of "drop" the box on my front door step, and cringed, but seems there was nothing to worry about. Perhaps it's a testament to the durability of the glasses? Note: Sticker on bottom of glass reads "glass made in the U.S.A." Pleased. Would recommend.
One more thing... don't be afraid to check the "used" section. Obviously, use your judgement on what the item is. I have had quite a bit of luck ordering "used - like new" items from Amazon Warehouse Deals. I ordered two sets of these stemless wine glasses for less than $7 per set, and were eligible for Prime through "amazon warehousedeals". Should there ever be an issue, I know that returns are easy with Amazon.
Update: I ordered another set. Sticker still says made in the USA. While I am still pleased, not as much so with this last set. This set is visibly thinner glass than the others. I'm not sure what's up with that, but it is noticable. I decided to compare their weight using my kitchen scale: 6 5/8 oz. vs 5 1/2 oz. They're still good, just not quite as substantial feeling as the others. Just thought I'd mention it. I probably should knock off a star for the inconsistency.
This product is exactly what I wanted. Size and thickness are perfect for every day use. And the glasses are ultimately suited for a dishwasher w/o worrying about stems breaking or bowls cracking. There was a flaw with one of the glasses so I called cust service. She could have not been more courteous ... And my problem was quickly and easily solved. Thank you, Amazon!
They are cheap and sturdy. But if you are buying them to replace some similar glasses so that no one will know you broke one, get something more expensive. These have lines all over them and can not pass off as "classy" wine glasses.
