    Unfortunately almost all of the push drills and pin chucks that are available seem to fall into this category - cheap and low quality.

    I was hoping to be able to use this for drilling small holes between about 1mm and 1.5mm but it really isn't useable for that.

    The collets are not precisely machined - they do not center the drill bits properly and they do not grip them tightly enough.

    It was impossible to tighten the collet down on a #57 drill bit without jamming the chuck against the knurled ring that you hold so that the drill can rotate - I had to remove the ring and file it down to give sufficient clearance.

    This might be OK with a 1/16" drill in it but it really isn't any good for anything smaller or remotely resembling precision work.

    I wouldn't mind paying 3 or 4 time the cost of this item for something that actually worked but I was hoping to avoid having to spend hundreds of dollars on something that was in the "precision scientific instruments" category. I guess I am just out of luck.

    I should have ignored the good reviews. As soon as I got it I could see that it was substantially different than what's shown. The drill bits actually came in a separate, loose box, that contained a dirty, rusty box with the drill bits in it. At least the ones that hadn't already fallen out. My first attempt was using the largest bit to drill a hole in plastic. On the second push of the drill, the bit shattered into 3 pieces. A closer look revealed that the spiral piece is so loose, and the drill end so crooked, that there's no way to drill any kind of precision hole. Sending this one back.
