- Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2025Amazing broadheads! Red carpet for a blood trail and have never had any issues with them and haven’t lost a deer since I started using them 12yrs ago and now everyone I know used them and love them
- Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2017This is the best broadhead on the market and I'm going to tell you why because I'm bored.
I've been shooting these for about 10 years now but I purchase nearly every broadhead that is on the market both fixed blade and mechanical and test them to see which arrows fly the best and impact the same as field points out to 100 yards along with a few other parameters. Here are my requirements.
Accuracy first and foremost. These are at the top of the list. Most likely because of their aerodynamic design. There is a lot of engineering going on here and I can assure you this is no accident. Even the blades on the top line up with the main blades. These will group about an inch lower than field points at 100 yards even in the wind.
Next would be strength. These blades are thicker than some of the fixed blades i have tried. I've never broken a blade or bent anything on animal impacts.
Sharpness. These blades are razor sharp and I comfortably kill two deer before retiring each head.
Cut on contact. These heads will open open fully on impact so even if you don't get a full pass through you will still have a blood trail to follow. Some brands have very streamline design but do not make an entrance hole. Sure they will kill the animal which is nice. But you might not find it. It's the difference between skipping down a blood trail or following deer tracks on your hands and knees
Noise. Broadheads must be quiet. Both in flight and in the quiver. Most bow noise I see from folks is a quiver full of garbage. Deer will be gone before the arrow leaves the bow. Want a quieter bow? Look at your quiver and broadheads.
Rubber. Do not use broadheads that use rubber bands/ o rings. They will rot and then open in flight. I see a lot of companies are getting away from rubber now but grim reaper had this figured out from day one.
I'll keep looking for better heads but as of right now these will be in my quiver come hunting season.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2024Used on a recent feral hog hunt. Shot three hogs ranging from 150-225 lbs. Blades opened on all hogs. Huge holes and great blood trails. Nothing went more than 50 yards.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2022These babies are very lethal, I smoked a buck at 50 yards right at the beginning of the season. Went right through and kept going on quite a few yards so be mindful of anything behind your target! Left a massive blood trail, and the buck didn't make it more than 30-40 yards before he dropped. 10 out of 10 would recommend! I eventually found the arrow, broadhead intact and ready to be sharpened for the next kill.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2020I have used these broadheads for years, they were recommended to me by a friend when I was telling him how dissatisfied I was with another mechanical broadhead I was using. I took the chance the next year bow hunting for deer. First shot was dead on and the deer only made it about 15 feet from where I shot him. It was a quick kill with a massive wound channel. I have used these broadheads ever since and have never been let down. The deer I've shot since that first time have never made it past 30 yards, left large blood trails and were very easy to track. I would recommend these broadheads to my friends.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2024Harvested 2 deer this week with them they do their job good and fast. Great blood trail will buy again
- Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2016This was my first season using Grim Reapers and it made me a believer. I shot the 1903 ( 1 3/8 ) cut broadhead and killed three deer and 1 hog with the same head. That's right the exact same head, just resharpened the blades after each kill. No animal went more than 30 yards before dropping. The practice heads fly exactly like the hunting heads and my field points. I shot fixed heads for years and there was always a slight variation from field points. If you want a head that doesn't require a retune of your bow from the practice range I would highly recommend this head. My opinion is that it's impossible for the heads not to open unless it's set up wrong on the arrow, engineering and physics of the design. Couldn't be happier with their performance, do yourself a favor and try them.
