      I've purchased ink cartridges for HP, Epson and others and had those printers for maybe a year at the most because they're cheap and break easy but when you buy a real printer like an Oki Data 5400n it lasts for a long time just like the color toner cartridge.

      You can't buy a better printer and cartridge for your home or business. I have had my printer now for over 8 years without issues, without paper jams, without any problems and the towers might be expensive but worth every penny! DOn't waste your money on HP, Epson or Brother printers.

      OKI DATA the way to go!

      They don't sell them in stores because they never break! Serious

      UPDATE: 2/28/2010: My original review was a year ago. Since that time I ordered a Cyan toner from LD and as soon as I installed it, I got the error "Service Call: 231 Fatal Error 03". I've learned that this error has to do with the inability of the Okidata printer to properly recognize or read the RFID chip embedded into the toner cartridge. So the LD toner either doesn't have an RFID chip in it, or it is defective in some way. But since there are many people complaining about this, it indicates a major problem with LD toner cartridges and their use in Okidata printers. I can't revise my star rating unless I delete my review entirely and submit a new review. I've decided to update my review and let you know of my experience with these cartridges. As it is right now you would be well-advised to NOT buy these cartridges.

      The following is my original review but is no longer valid since the cartridges no longer look the same or work the same.

      I had a huge amount of skepticism when I began to consider buying this "compatible" laser toner cartridge for my Oki C5500n printer. You can get brainwashed rather easily by reading the Okidata literature cautioning you against using anything but the Okidata branded toner cartridges. But I wince every time I have to shell out the money to buy the "genuine" Okidata toner cartridges.

      I finally threw caution to the wind and decided to try one of these Okidata compatible cartridges and so far I can say I'm completely satisfied with not only the quality of printing, but the value of the cartridge.

      I can see no difference whatsoever in the print output produced by this cartridge as compared to the Oki cartridge. The cost savings is so great that it is extremely unlikely that I would ever pay the premium for the genuine Oki toner in the future.

      I've waited over two months to post my review since purchasing this cartridge because I wanted to print hundreds of pages before drawing any conclusions. But from the very first page printed using this cartridge, to the page I just printed a few minutes ago, the quality certainly is every bit as good as the Oki. Also, my printer still reports 100% toner level for this cartridge even though I have printed at least several hundred pages with it.

      No complaints, no problems and I am so glad I took the leap of faith and gave these a try.

      There are only two caveats... The first caveat is that this cartridge did not come with an alcohol saturated cloth to wipe down the LED array as the Oki cartridges come with. It's no big deal to "make" your own using a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol. The only other caveat is that I have only used the black cartridge so far, but I would like to think that the color toners will perform equally as well. When I ultimately do order them, I will be sure to review them.

      I ordered an LD Black Toner. I got a substitute toner (AC-05500K) instead of the LD compatible. This is a compatible toner of a compatible toner in the first place. At least I should have been contacted first before shipping.

      I have used this cartridge for over a month now. Works fine -- I don't notice any difference in print quality. I have a C5800 oki printer. I saw some other have problems but so far so good for me.

      I have not used this toner cartridge yet. Once I do I will try to come back and update my review.

      However, so far the company has had excellent customer service by sending up follow up emails and making it clear that if I have any problem I should contact them via email or phone. Very reassuring.

      The toner cartridge looks like a well replacement cartridge and not cheap replacement.

      I have been using LD products for years. I have an OKIDATA color laser printer and a HP Photosmart Printer and have found the LD cartridges to be just as good as the OEM products. I resisted getting the LD products at first because the price seemed too low. After reading an article in the Wall Street Journal about how much HP makes on its printer cartridges, I decided to give LD a try. I have not used one OEM printer cartridge since. I had one cartridge not work properly and they replaced it immediately without waiting for me to send the defective one back. That is one failure out of hundreds of cartridges used. I had one OEM cartridge fail several years ago and you would think that I was dealing with the IRS trying to get it replaced.

      Every minute that you are waiting to switch away from OEM is lost money.

      I am updating my previous Review. Sure enough, the cartridge that was supposed to be a LD cartridge has given me problems. First, it did not fit and after trying it over and over I finally got it in place. The printer went through its testing and said the cartridge did not have a chp and it didn't recognize the cartridge.

      It is such a shame. I have trusted LD for years and now they have lost their way.

      Very disappointed. I talked to them and they said it was from one of their suppliers.

      They have lost my business.
