5.0 out of 5 stars Thanks Brian ...
First saw, and always searched for this as BLUE HEAT; ironic that I finally got it from Spain! Fairly straightforward crime action drama of the 1980s and early 1990s, its virtue is the fine interaction between three stalwarts of the age: Brian Dennehy, Jeff Fahey and Joe Pantoliano. Oh, and Bill Paxton was his usual annoying self, until his character was killed. You know, there was a time when Brian Dennehy and Jeff Fahey featured in just about everything involving crime, action or cop drama, Fahey usually as a baddie; they must have had terrific agents. I really liked Dennehy in F/X and also have his JACK REED series. Look up Dennehy's filmography at the IMDB or on Wikipedia - impressive! A big noise in American theatre, too! He often made "quite an entrance!" (COCOON: THE RETURN). Alas, he died in 2020 ...

5.0 out of 5 stars The Finest at Work
It's about a group of Undercover Los Angeles police officers led by Brian Dennehy that work tough cases that consider to be unsolvable. When a big raid on a meatpacking plant doesn't turn up the narcotics evidence Frank Daly (Brian Dennehy) expected, he and his men get booted from the force. Frank and his team go into hiding with their families after Howard (Bill Paxton) is killed for getting too close to the truth. But that doesn't stop them from digging into the case, and they soon uncover a massive drug trade conspiracy that involves LAPD higher-ups and the U.S. government. Also stars (Joe Pantoliano), Ricky (Jeff Fahey) and Howard (Bill Paxton).

4.0 out of 5 stars Good solid cop film
Good solid cop film. Not in love with the bad language, but the plot was good and the performances were excellent. In particular, I liked Henry Darrow's performance. Nice twist.
