We're renovating our master bath, but because of covid, things have been put on hold for a little bit. So I installed this in the guest bathroom for now. It's still nice to have the rain shower type of shower head even when it's lower and coming out of the wall, but my recommendation would be to have the extended arm. That way it can shower more in a downward angle. I have very good water pressure and the rain setting felt good and with the head angled out it was fine and I hand no problem being fully covered by the spray. So even if you want to keep it sharply angled you could. I did try all the settings and I liked them all except the center one. It was like if you just turned on the tap and water came out. Maybe if I had the extended arm and it fell more straight down it would be better. Because I was using the standard arm that comes out of the wall it immediately spills over and I don't know what purpose it serves to people who would keep the head angled so sharply.Obviously it's very nice looking. Again, if you have it angled sharply you're going to see the bottom of it more than the side which is the pretty part. It feels sturdy and well made. It was very easy to install. Literally one minute. When we can finally finish our master (have people in to work on it) this will move from our guest bath to the mast bath and be better suited. I'll have to update it when it's more centered and not coming directly from the wall. But I still very much like this shower head. I can't wait for it to be in it's permanent place!

    Mine started leaking badly out the sides. Unlike older grohe products, there are no disassembly instructions nor tools. It’s not rasy to get purchase, but the center (massage) section unscrews, revealing a large philips bit that may not be sufficiently tightened. Tighten it up and the side-leak should go away.

    ... or it’ll just spit its gasket through the gap.

    I understand why this was discontinued.

    I love the look of this showerhead but disappointed that there isn't any volume control or water force with at least one setting. The center setting has the most force while others remain true rainshower. This means to get an adequate shower, one stands in the same spot throughout his/her shower without any forward/backward, side/side movements. Even with a 12" shower arm, the head doesn't spray at a wider angle. I wish I had known this before purchasing this expensive product...

    I bought this almost a year ago, It is a great design and still looks beautiful. But I wish it had better spray patterns. I would still buy it, but if I ever have to replace the shower head, I would choose one with more than 4 spray patterns.
