Product Description
Blu-ray pressing includes bonus CD. 2012 release from the Grammy-winning British Electronic duo. With Don't Think, The Chemical Brothers bring their mind-bendingly psychedelic live show to the big screen for the first time, and in grand style. A state of art spectacle shot at Japan's Fujirock Festival in front of 50,000 ravenous fans, Don't Think combines The Chemical Brothers famously ferocious modern electronic sounds and hardcore dance beats with eye-popping visuals. Directed by their longtime visual collaborator Adam Smith, and shot on 20 cameras, Don't Think is the first concert film to feature Dolby 7:1 surround sound, mixed for the screen by the band, and includes 2 new Chemical Brothers tracks. Don't think, let it flow, surrender to the void.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2012I saw this when it was released in theaters for one day (Feb 1, 2012) and the movie basically made me feel like I was high the whole time. The footage was amazing, the sound was superb, the music choice was great, and that Japanese chick they followed around was pretty hot!
There is one issue, though: the giant creepy clown faces that sing along to a couple parts near the beginning and at the end. I don't even find clowns scary or creepy at all, but these ones were definitely creepy. It might make someone in a... fragile state of mind go to some bad places... if you catch my drift.
That said, I do not have a copy of the Blu Ray, so I can not comment on the extras. But it was such a good film that I intend to purchase the Blu Ray as soon as I can.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2016If you've ever seen The Chemical Brothers in concert, this is as faithful a representation as you can possibly get without being there. The audio quality captures the thrill of a live show, with the appropriate aural ambience, crowd noise, and bassy, thumping beats. If you've never had the pleasure of seeing the Chemicals in person, this is as close as you can get, with both the CD and DVD providing great audio and video quality. This is basically a run-through of their greatest hits (of which they have plenty), with the minor quibble that 'Galvanize' is relegated to a small but familiar sample, while the entire song is omitted. Besides this minor gripe, it's a seamless set that sounds great both in the car or home stereo, and in headphones.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 7, 2012I saw the brothers live at both Ultra 2011 and Coachella 2011 and both performances blew my mind. I saw this movie on Jan 26 - before it was released in theatres February 1 - and it was a mind-blowing experience.
The Chemical Brothers covered their most popular tracks (leaving out Galvanize, to my surprise) but still delivered an insane experience.
If you have not seen them live, put that on your bucket list. I was up for 18 hours at Coachella when the chemical brothers started playing.... after their 1 hour performance, i was so energized, i couldn't fall asleep and wound up falling asleep after being awake for nearly 30 hours.
This movie is a high quality, super-surreal experience. Enjoy it at full volume, have a viewing party at your place and just enjoy the experience. Just remember to fall in love... there's nothing else... there's nothing else.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2013Electronic music is not precisely my cup of tea, or at least not the first one. The ones I enjoy the most are those with some Rock on it: Moby, Prodigy, Crystal Method, Ladytron...and Chemicals. And there is not too many of those with great concerts/live performances..... this is one exception! I saw the whole DVD without skip anything! My only regret is that there are not 2 of my favorites 'Surrender's' songs: 'Surrender' and 'Let Forever Be', would be GREAT having Bernnie for 'Ouf of Control' and that some songs in the CD are not separated but part of a Medley, so 'Out ....' will be a long 10ish ...No biggie. Not any of these 'flaws' are strong enough to be 4 stars, so 5 it is!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2014I would highly recommend this cd/dvd package!! I watch it all the time!! Only bad thing I can say about this dvd isn't really a bad thing. If you are playing it over a powerful stereo with a even more powerful Subwoofer very loud you will get an angry KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK, at your door with a pissed off neighbor so all you have to do is TUR IT UP LOUDER SO YOU DON'THEAR THE KNOCKS LOL. Try this---drink down a Six pack of Redds Apple Ale and get up an get ready to dance you won't be able to sit still for long. Enjoy!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2012This almost always hits the dvd player if we've been out on the town and weren't ready to go to bed once the bars close. If you're a fan of the Chemical Brothers, big beat, or techno, you owe it to yourself to get this. The sound is phenomenal, the track selection seems to get better as the concert goes on, and the crowd shots really bring the energy to the forefront. I especially like the unreleased song, Superflash. I can see why the small theatrical release had audiences going bonkers, some of which had to be shut down. It's that much fun to watch! TURN IT UP!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2016Don't buy this CD/DVD based on the reviews here on Amazon.
The title of this CD/DVD should be re-titled Don't Stink or Don't Suck. I'm so sick of buying Cd's from the Chemical Brothers only to find out they suck. They're stuck in the 90's and can't come up with an original musical thought. Don't Think is just a bunch of their 90's "songs" with a few more synthesized sounds to make them sound a little different than the original "song". All repeats from earlier Cd's.
Good job reviewers...you lied me into buying yet another lame Chemical Brothers CD. It's just a CD/DVD of their past songs with some added synthesizer sounds to make them sound a little different. I was really pissed after this CD. And I have all of their CD's since buying Exit Planet Dust or whatever it was called. That was my favorite of theirs. I just kept buying them hoping they'd put out something new but what I got was crap and a lame attempt at rap. Even the Crystal Method is putting out crap nowadays.
I'm done with both of them. I'll never buy a Chemical Brothers or Crystal Method Cd again. They seem to be profiting off their past music which compared to Trance is lame. I'm into the hard beats of Trance now and cannot listen to reruns from the Chemical Brothers anymore. You can put sugar on a turd but it still tastes like S%#t.

4.0 out of 5 stars Chemical madness
The closest you'll come to the intensity of a live Chemical Brothers show without actually being there. The music is great, of course, though you'll find many of your favourite tracks chopped up and rearranged in a way that will keep you guessing. But the big draw here is watching the audience reaction -- the Japanese concertgoers seem genuinely crazed by the music, and the surrealist jokes that recur throughout lends even more confusion to the proceedings. The segment with the clown is genuinely scary -- took me a bit too far out of my comfort zone, but it doesn't last too long! A classic concert film, comparable to no other I can think of.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ottimo album live
Esperienza esaltante.

5.0 out of 5 stars No pienses y si te gustan los Chemical pillalo
Álbum de los Chemical muy bueno, es un directo en Tokyo, yo lo usaba para ver el DVD en la pantalla del coche cuando me iba de fiesta y es brutal.

5.0 out of 5 stars The入門盤
同内容ながらDVDとCDでちがう印象を受けました。DVDはコンサートドキュメントというより、全体を通してのイメージフィルムという趣きで好き嫌いの分かれるところ。私もどちらかというと音源派。これからという人にはもってこいの作品です。
