It's a nice shirt, but waaaaay too long.....

It's a nice shirt, but waaaaay too long.....
The shirt is a nice fabric and the dark areas are woven in a way to give more ventilation, but the fit is *really* off. I have a very standard physique, with somewhat longer arms - I'm 5'11", 180 lbs, and wear either a size medium (snug) or large (comfortable) t-shirt, size 41 suit, and size 16 x 34 dress shirt. 32" waist. The size large is a freaking dress on me....If I were my tween daughter, I'd let me wear leggings with a shirt of this length.....seriously though, it's probably 4" too long... The sleeves are also too long but somewhat forgivable because since they below my palms. At the same time, it's snug enough around the chest that I can't possibly imagine going down to a medium. If you're a green-bean basketball player, this might be for you, otherwise the fit is just off.......

Intended as a base layer for but also suitable as an after-skiing shirt, this men's shirt is 70% polylester and 30% polamide. It has some flex to the fabric but it its with some looseness, it not what I consider to be the same as a lycra skin tight stretch shirt. Craft's shirt is very thin and slippery-soft. The fabric is said to be contructed differently in different areas for different heat (thermal) regulation; you can see black dots in the underarm and interior arm areas. There is some design to the shirt with lines that provide slimming lines for the eye to travel down.

Comparing to Under Armour which our familiy is more accustomed to using, the Craft shirt is so much more thinner and feels almost like you are wearing nothing. Both claim to have fabric that wicks away moisture in order to not make you cold due to having wet cloth against skin in cold winter months. It is so thin though that it does not seem to insulate which is the other reason to need a base layer while skiing.

We rate this 4 stars = I Like It.

Nice shirt kept me comfortable on a trip to Canada last week. I used it in 40-75 degree temperatures with weather ranging from moist and foggy to dry and blue skies. Used it as a base layer beneath a packable synthetic jacket in the morning and it was perfect. Size Large fit me well 6'1" 200lbs.

Things I like: The longer than average sleeves and length. It's a decent base layer.
One thing I don't like: The "comfort round neck" is wider than I think it needs to be. Does not make it any more comfortable. It does make it less warm though.

This is a good shirt to use as a base layer for sporting activities or just as a long-sleeved tee under a street shirt. It is moderately stretchy and fits pretty tightly (and is meant to!) but is quite comfortable It has a somewhat wide cut under the arms and different weave under the arms to allow more breathing, The synthetic fabric is thin, a bit slippery, but quite soft to touch and seems to pretty strong - it doesn't seem like it is going rip easily. The short is a bit darker than pictured here on Amazon - it certainly is not black but more of a charcoal grey, with a fine mix of black and light grey. It washes well and doesn't seem to shrink. Being mostly polyester, it dries quickly.

I like this shirt and would recommend as a good light technical shirt, though don't feel it beats competition (best tech shorts for me are merino wool shirts made by Icebreaker) - it is comparable to most good synthetic shirt (which would give it a 3 stars for me) but I do like the extra ventilation you get near top of the arms, so will give it 4 stars. I also like the color and find the blending of colors both unusual and appealing.

This light-weight base layer has extra length so fits me as a tall size perfectly and even goes about a foot below my waist. It is thin and fits snugly so is perfect under my turtleneck for skiing, and the under-arm venting is a nice feature. The extra length is perfect to help ensure wrists and waist stay warmer.

It is fairly comfortable except for 2 large tags which rub on the top of the left shoulder so I'll probably try to cut those out. It does wick moisture well, though overall it wasn't as warm as I expected. Despite the manufacturer's claims, only the main body is seamless; there are seams on the shoulders and down the length of the arms. It also has varying texture down the back which I can feel when wearing. It doesn't bunch up on me at all.

Overall I prefer my silk undergarments which are warmer and more comfortable overall, as well as less expensive, but this works fine as a lightweight base layer. Made in China.

Kept my son, who was hiking south on the Appalachian trail, safe and warm.

He gives them two thumbs up.
