    I have a Labrador retriever and I bought this as something he and I could do together at the park. The kit is fair quality and the whistle works, the toy itself is a little small, maybe for 3 month to 5 month olds, this is a puppy trainer, don't get this for a large dog. The biggest problem I have with this is the false advertising. The picture showed that it would come with duck scent, I really wanted the duck scent for my dog because he is a bird dog and I wanted to see how he would do, but instead it came with rabbit scent. This was a huge disappointment and makes a big difference unless you are training your dog to hunt rabbits, I was not.

    The canvas bumper has been great. My dog is almost 10 months old now, and has been training for about 6 months. The whistle is also fairly decent. The scent was a thin liquid and really didn't absorb into the bumper at all, so I opted to use a different duck scent. The bumper goes along with us everywhere we train and it's a good tool.

    My dog has really taken to this scent. I hope it will convert over to him actually retrieving ducks once I start him hunting. I have not had a chance to use the scent and dummy in water yet. He still needs to get introduced to swimming. I will update this post once I see how he does duck hunting.
