Holes don't line up and gaps in staining, this IS made in China people!!!!
The bolt holes on the one side did not line up, I needed to file, drill for about 20 minutes to make up the HUGE amount of distance it was off. The table also was spray stained, their are several spots near joints that are missing stain.

I'm really happy with the end tables -- I purchased two of them. They are elegant, durable, and have a beautiful shine (not too shiny). They were generally easy to assemble and don't seem to pick up fingerprints or cup stains easily as some pieces I've had. (I use glass coasters, but my kids forget sometimes!) Our livingroom looks a bit classier with these tables. They match the china cabinet I inherited from my mother almost pefectly with the carved details on each side.

With that, i want to add that we made this order twice. The first shipment was not successful ... The packaging was worn, and when we opened the box, the table legs inside were damaged; it was noticible without us even taking it out of the box -- It was as if this table had been returned to the seller, and re-shipped to us without having even been checked. The second shipment was perfect -- packaging was clean, and both tables in good condition.

Pros: arrived quickly, packaged well, in perfect condition, easy to assemble (you will need a screwdriver, preferably a power one) appears to be sold wood, very attractive.
Cons: color is slightly redder than other cherry pieces I have, but it is not placed near the other pieces so not a big deal. But, WHAT'S UP WITH THE HOLES? I think they are supposed to be antique-y "worm holes" but they look very fake. Fortunately where I placed this piece they don't really show, but I will say they prevented me from buying the matching sofa table as the holes would be very obvious.

Overall: If I can figure out a way to make the holes less obvious I might get the matching pieces simply because for the price this is a beautiful table, well made and a lovely accent piece.

I am an avid online shopper, I hate shopping in stores and with Amazon Prime, there's no reason not to have everything I want shipped to my door. I do run into issues sometimes where I think the size will be different than it is, or the quality is just not there as it looked like it was in the photo. There were no such issues with this end table. It is very nice quality wood, not laminate like I expected for the low price. Very easy to put together, and has a very rich look to it once assembled. I like it so much, I am now ordering the coffee table to match.

TOTALLY dissapointed that this company would ship an item knowing that the item had a HUGE deffect. Table arrived with a HUGE CRACK along one of the inside pannels of the top shelf, just where screws are suppossed to be joined with the legs. Couldnt match the screw holes of leg and top shelf together the crack lifted up the entire adjoning parts making for uneven leveling of screws. This obviously DID NOT happen during shipping because it was towards the inside of the top shelf and if that was the case the entire top shelf would have been split.

Companies like these should be banned from selling merchandise online where as they take advantage of customers who are not able to view their products prior to purchasing. Could have EASILY been a FIVE star item. The quality of the table left me breathless. I guess you do get what you pay for... PRICE was too good to be true.

It's going to work for me, because I bought it to be a sofa table, and it's going between the back of my couch and the wall. In other words -- you're not really going to see it much. For THAT purpose, this table is great. It's nice and solid -- I'm not concerned about putting lamps on it -- and all the wood you see is real wood. And it's a good width for that purpose. But it's an inexpensive table for a reason -- if I had been planning to use this as a hall table or something similarly highly visible, it would be going back. (And it's big/heavy in the packaging -- returning it would be no small thing).

Specifically, here's what's good and bad:

PROS - Solid and mostly easy to put together.

CONS - I'll write more here, b/c this is what you really want to know, right?

    Finish:
    1. This is a "con" for me...might not be for you. This is a lot more red than it looks in the pictures. A hair more and I'd have had to send it back -- it's close to looking painted rather than stained.
    2. The wood is pitted in several places. On both legs (on the front of the table, of course), there are a bunch of little holes clustered together. I'll try to remember to take a picture later and post it.
    3. The spray finish is rough in some of the crevices -- it has a bit of a haze in the places where the wood joins together

    Assembly:
    1. Mostly, this goes together with an Allen wrench, which is included. Simple matter of threading four bolts with washers and screwing them in. Took very little time -- and it'll go even faster if you have a ratcheting screwdriver to use instead of the Allen wrench. BUT...the bottom shelf has little metal brackets and tiny screws -- but no pre-drilled holes for them. Because of how I'm using the table, I decided not to screw around with drilling holes -- I'm letting the table legs hold the shelf in place (it fits into notches, and it would be nearly impossible, if not impossible, to get the shelf completely out without loosening the bolts holding the table top on the legs. But without those little metal brackets, the bottom shelf does wiggle a bit.

    Packaging:
This is a stupid little thing, but since I'm writing...they include styrofoam sheets in the packaging. Which inevitably gets broken in shipping. Which means tiny pieces of styrofoam everywhere, that get harder to pick up the more staticky they get. Suspect I'm going to be finding styro bits for days.
