    I wear this jacket everyday over several different kinds of outfits and love it! I am 5'3" and 130lbs and bought a medium in black. There is definately enough room for a chunky sweater to fit under this jacket. It's thinly lined so I can wear it in the cool spring mornings and cooler evenings. If you are buying this for snowy weather I would purchase a thicker lined North Face jacket. Overall, this jacket is a good fitted for a woman's curves and an all around stylish and beautiful!

    The sleeves fit but I find the "large" just a little tight around the chest. All raincoats are thin and this is no exception. I wear it with t shirt and sweatshirt in 39+ weather and am very comfortable. Walking in pouring down rain for an hour and a half results in a small overall amount of damp feeling. Only wet marks were at the bottom of the hood. I should have bought the Columbia as I suspect it is similar but costs much less. I would return this and buy Columbia but...I am too lazy.

    I love this jacket. This is the second time I'm purchasing the exact, same jacket, after losing the first one. It's perfection - breathable, but warm enough for windy days, really protects from rain and, for girls, you don't look like you're wearing a sack. I had originally purchased an XS, but decided to size-up to the S this time, because the hood is actually a bit larger in the S. Even though the XS fit me like a glove, the difference in sizing of the hood was good enough a reason to go up in size. I particularly love this jacket to travel with, I take it with me everywhere. Highly recommend. Super fast shipping as well!

    I am replacing the exact same coat I purchased 4 years ago and it is smaller than that one. This one has some darts in the back to bring the profile closer to the body which sounds great but now I cannot wear anything thicker than a t-shirt under it. The old one I have worn all over the world with sweaters and even thin fleece shirts under it in colder weather. This one is not large enough to do that. I cannot order the next size up because I am 5 feet tall and it would be way too long. Also the cuffs of the old one had thick elastic and velcro closures. The new one only has the velcro closures on it and doesn't roll up and stay like the old one. Boo hoo! I am disappointed and sending back.

    I tried on a North Face raincoat I loved in the store but they didn't have it in my size. I went home and ordered what I thought was the same coat on amazon. It was not. This style is VERY cheap feeling and looking. Not at all the same quality of my other North Face jackets. My exact words when I opened it "I could have bought something better at WalMart."

    I am a pear shaped woman and although the size large jacket fit it was very snug around my hips. Returned the jacket and ordered a larger size up in another color. Absolutely love it. I can wear it over a warm sweater or sweatshirt if needed. The inside pockets are large enough for a wallet on one side and my cell phon on the other. Have not wore the jacket in a downfall yet so I can't comment on how that's going to go. The fit though is good.
