This is a lite weight tow bar that worked perfectly on this first trip out recently. My only criticism is the manual does not properly describe how much torques to apply to the two 3/8" pivot nuts. I had to confer with Demco Customer Service. To that point, you will need a minimum of 40 foot pounds. You may even need to add a star washer.
This is a quality item - fits cleanly and easily with Demco baseplate on my Honda Element. It includes some nice safety cables with quick-release hooks on both ends which have integrated hoops on the underside of towbar arms to help manage.
Tows just fine at low speed, just a word of caution, replace the nuts bolts on the car mount side! Mine fell off first time using it, only thing holding everything in place was the safety chains they tell you to wrap around the arms. If it wasn't for that, I would rate it higher.
