Product Description
The Pluma is an extraordinary fin that makes the most of molding technology previously used only on the Cressi hi-tech models designed specifically for free diving and scuba diving. The Pluma uses the same Cressi patented construction system of molding three different materials to give high performance, extreme lightness, easy fining, and comfort. The blade is made from light and reactive polypropylene. The blade is very-energetic and has snappy rebound. Two side supporting grooves and ribbing on the bottom of the blade allow progressive and controlled bending. The result is powerful, fluid and untiring kick. The foot pocket extends along the bottom of the blade to give protection during fining even in shallow water and near rocks. The foot pocket is made from soft thermo-rubber and the computer-designed shape offers great comfort as well as making the fins suitable for long use. The entire sole is made hard and comes with large non-slip inserts, for total protection of the foot and for excellent transmission of the leg-fin effort.

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2015Size: EU 41/42 | US Man 8/9 | US Lady 9/10Color: Blue/AzureVerified PurchaseMy husband and I received our 3rd pair of the Pluma fins today and are very pleased with the Quality and our first test run in the pool. Once fitted to your preferences, these fins are flawless in the water and completely ideal for our needs in both snorkeling and free diving, in the warm waters here in South Florida and the Keys. While it is too early to determine lasting quality, first impressions are thumbs up.
Now, about the sizing. It really helps to know your true European size from a reliable source, either at home or at many stores such as a running store. This is a much more accurate sizing than the random lack of conformity in many U.S. Shoe brands where the sizing can be all over the chart. As we are also avid Vibram wearers, we already knew our sizes and find that many European shoe brands are sized more consistently within their sizing charts.
I am a true 37 and generally a U.S. size 7 to 7 1/2 depending on the brand. I ordered the size (4/5 ladies 6/7 EU 37/38) and found them to be too big in both length and width for barefoot use. I have average width feet, definitely NOT narrow. I do believe that with a 2 mm neoprene sock, the fit would have been great. I decided to order the size (2.5/3.5 Eu 35/36) and found them to be perfect for barefoot use! No slipping, no pressure points and a tiny bit of toe room forward. My husband is a 43 and We chose to order him a size (7/8 Eu 41/42) based on my experiences and his are also a ferfect barefoot fit.
Perhaps Cressi intended you to wear a neoprene sock because the size chart definitely lines up accurately, in my case, if so. However, I prefer going barefoot in our warm waters and do not need extra foot protection and would recommend you size down a size if you also intend on going barefoot.
Overall, these are good looking fins that work great and are easy on the checkbook.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2024Size: EU 41/42 | US Man 8/9 | US Lady 9/10Color: Black/SilverVerified PurchaseI am a US men's size 9. Wife is a US women's size 9. cressi fins size 41-42 fit well (on paper/ sizing guide mens US size 9 is 43-44 but they run large and my foot fell right out, so size down if you are unsure) The 41-42 fins are snug but needed a little more so I purchased some 3 mil diving socks and it bridged that gap perfectly for a nice tight fit without cutting off any circulation.
In addition, these were purchased for travel and recreational diving and snorkeling. They are a little long but I was able to barely make them fit in my carry on "suit bag" luggage duffel, but not my overhead hard luggage. So if you plan to travel with these make sure to get something that can handle 21-22 inches length like a checked bag or wide length carry on.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2015Size: EU 41/42 | US Man 8/9 | US Lady 9/10Color: Black/SilverVerified PurchaseThese fins run a little large, make sure you follow the european sizing chart for maximum comfort. I wear a size 8.5 to 9 US male shoe, but I chose the 7/8 fins, since they were closer to 41/42 european sizing. These work great foe barefoot use. If you are going to be using some socks or booties, you might need to order following the american sizing system.
They feel a bit "stiff" definitely not a flexible fin, but they give a lot of propulsion. They might cramp your feet, and give some blistersif used without socks.
UPDATE: After my 5th caribbean sea use, they have gotten a lot more flexible and smoother. That is kind of a good thing, since im practically gliding through the water without exhaustion. They seem to be very reliable if you take good care of them. I no longer get blisters since my feet got used to them. I would definitely recommend it for snorkeling!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2020Size: EU 39/40 | US Man 6.5/7.5 | US Lady 8.5/9.5Color: Yellow/BlackVerified PurchaseI like the fins but the sizing is big. Choose at least one size small if you prefer your fins to fit snug. Maybe 2 sizes. See image of chart sent with the fins. I wear size 39 / 8.5. The fin is marked on the bottom with the appropriate size. With my toes as far forward as possible, I can fit two finger widths in the shoe behind my heel. I’m used to my fins being super duper tight. I can’t return since I need to use soon. But I’ll wear them with swim socks and hopefully be fine. If not, my 10yr old will use them in a couple years when his feet surpass mine. I think I’ll be purchasing again 2 sizes smaller.
Pros: good length. Good shoe, thick rubber, heel nubs on bottom to prevent damage if you stand/walk, light weight, toes have a vent under the fin, good construction, and the shape keepers allow you to easily grab and go.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2015Size: EU 45/46 | US Man 11/12.5 | US Lady 12/13.5Color: Black/SilverVerified PurchaseI wear a size 11.5-12 in mens shoes and the size 10/11 fit my feet perfectly with still a bit of room so id imagine if you wear 12.5 these would work perfectly, very comfy and I recommend these over heel straps as many people wearing them were slowing our snorkel trip down because they kept having to re-adjust their fins. They were great in the water, originally I wanted to buy the short fins that would fit in my carry on but im glad I didn't. The length of these was just right to propel a guy of my size through the water with ease, I'm 6'0'' 250lbs so the short fins would have been constant kicking. Bottoms of feet are hard material so you can stand up without having to worry about being stabbed by anything, they also have little traction knobs so you don't slip on algae which was a huge help trying to get in and out of slippery areas. Glad I bought these, I went snorkeling a couple of times a day for five days and didn't get the slightest foot irritation/heel sores. Very easy to get on and off even way out in the water when I had to dump some sand out. Buy these don't buy the cheap US divers gear some of my family ordered US divers and it ALL broke they had to go and rent new snorkel gear.
