I love this computer. My previous desktop (which I still have and still runs fine) was about 9 years old. So it was time to update my hardware and software. But I wanted a computer that would perform faster then my old computer. My old computer had slowed down over the years as new software came along that demanded faster processing speed. So I tried to find the fastest computer I could afford when I got a new computer. This Intel Core i7-6700 is fast to say the least. The graphics card is faster then I had, but it can be updated to a much faster one if I choose to. But I dont play video games on my computer, but its nice to have the option if I want to. But the installed graphics card does respond nicely to videos played on youtube (there doesnt seem to ever be any noticable slow down or pauses in the playback on the Dell). Also I love the fact that the Dell XPS x8900 has the ability to upgrade to 32 gigs of ram. It comes with 8 gigs which seems like alot compared to my other computer which would only allow 2gigs to be installed. I can also install easily a solid state drive (if I want even more speed). Ive been using this computer for two weeks now and I have to say that Ive never had to wait for some web page to transfer to another page. I dont wait for encryption software to unlock a password. Shut down and start up time is really quick. The installed McAfee Anti-Virus doesnt slow down the computer at all. Plus the firewall I installed doesnt seem to slow it down either. So far Im very impressed with this computer. If you want a budget speedy computer (if your not looking for a gaming rig) then this a good computer at a decent price. For instance: I paid $718 dollars for this Dell XPS. For my old computer I purchased 9 years I paid $900 dollars. And this new XPS can do 10,000 times more things at a faster pace then my old computer could do. But you probably already knew that! lol Its a good computer people.
