This is so great! Love it! Wow! (...Except the Glue)
So this has worked pretty darn good. The reviews on this that say "the glue isn't so great" are pretty accurate. It does peel (see photos). However, keep in mind that you probably bought this because you just built your screen yourself (we bought: Carl's Blackout Cloth, DIY Projector Screen, Raw Material/Fabric, 66x110-inch, Matte White, 16:9/1.0 and built our own wood frame). So common guys and gals... what's a little more elbow grease to glue it down some more? Even with that "do it yourself" gumption I down voted the tape because of the glue issues (sue me - just kidding, please don't). The contrasting on the tap is wonderful. We are using a 3000+ lumen projector and we have it bleed over on the felt just due to the dimensions of the screen + aspect ratio of the project not being perfect, and it's like a black hole for light - there is virtually no light coming off of this tape. It's great. Despite the glue (which I got over and started gluing it myself), this did exactly what it promised to do! Well worth the extra money and the extra effort. We even ended up using some of the remnents to fix some border issues/scuffs on a movie poster we had! Again, worked perfectly (minus the glue...)

This thing is super awesome. I am gonna stress on the most important feature here. For everyone who does not have dedicated room for home theatre, we often try to fit a projection system in a room where walls are not 100% symmetrical and are unevenly designed. Due to this, a mismatch of geometry between projector and screen is very common. I know there are keystone correction and other adjustment features available on most projectors. But despite all those, we cant escape a minute 0.5%-1% of image falling out of borders on at least one side of the rectangular frame. At this point, lets face it- what do we want to do with this unwanted image on the black border? We dont want it to come there at all - thats right. And just inside of those black borders what do we want screen to look like- in opposite contrast and edgy as if that is the original image border. This is where this felt tape comes for your rescue. It really is light absorbing material- I couldnt believe when my old black border tape showed the image above it while Carl's tape completely consumed the light with hardly may be 1%-5% visibility remaining. 5 minutes into a movie, we wont even realise the image is going outside border. This wasnt the case with my old borders. Now regarding the contrast boosting part- something is very magical about the coloring of this tape- it really is a deep, deep black and makes any kind of projected image look enhanced inside the borders. This is what we wanted right in a complete dark room !!. In sum I would say this is not an ordinary border tape guys and is completely worth the premium price for all those who are hesitating to buy it because of price. In my opinion, it is purpose-built to enhance your movie experience and does it wonderfully. You really have to see its impact in action to believe it.

Right amount of elasticity, stickiness, size and everything. First time when I put it, screen got pulled at many places and saw lots of curves on screen. But I could easily pull it and stick it back again without much fuss. In fact the good thing is, its very easy to pull any sagging cloth and use this tape as kind of a staple, but of course don't overdo it. Lots of tape left even after doing 135 in screen and some wastage. Looks very professional and grand.

Con: make sure tape is not stuck together at any point in time, if so then the only option you have is to cut it off.
Also the tape fell over overnight... 4 nights in a row at some specific locations. All I did was to staples it at the end of the frame behing, so stapling can't be visible from front.

There were other options for a felt tape border but I'm so glad I picked the "name brand" Carl's Place felt tape for my projector screen border. It is super high quality tape, the adhesive is just right so you can position the end a little bit if you need to adjust it when you're laying it on the screen, and with a sharp knife it cuts easily. I have a pretty big screen and I have way more material than I needed. And when it was done, I think it looks very professional and clean.

And FYI for some of the reviews I read, I think people were trying to use this tape to fix their screen to the wall. This tape is for a border on the screen, not to hang your screen! It does a beautiful job at doing just that, a border.

I was concerned this tape would peel off the wall. But they will take the paint off before they will peel off. I got the 3 inch size and it looks great. I painted the wall with three coats of Killz white primer and then with 2 coats of screen paint and then added this felt. The felt gives the wall screen a very professional appearance. I overlapped the four corners then used a 45 degree square with a built in level to cut the tape with a knife. Then had to peel back the tape to remove the extra tape under the overlap. It was a little difficult to remove the tape because it is really sticky. It actually took off some paint from the wall but that is not a problem. I would not use too much overlap of the tape at the corners because the overlapped tape may take off some paint on the wall which you just need to touch up after.
