A really nice little scope. Very well finished and performs wonderfully. The close focus is a little long at about 25 feet, but hard to find much else to fault. The 520mm FL is very handy as it allows a little more power than some of its competitors without needing short focal length eyepieces. Seems to be very well color corrected for the price. It is so compact, especially for a 500mm+ FL, and yet so accomplished. Highly recommended.

I love this thing. Just saw the 4 moons of Jupiter on my back patio in CONNECTICUT. My wife was over the moon!! It is a great beginner scope and came in a very sturdy travel case. Totally worth it if you want bring to your next campsite or yo South Africa where you’ll be blown away by the tapestry of stars. Best thing was I bought an attachment to take quality pics with my digital dlr. sadly still haven’t gotten good enough pics on it to print out but I think it’s because I’m not very good at it. Oh well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous
Reviewed in Canada on August 14, 2019
This is by far one of the nicest 60mm (62) Refractors on the market. The quality build is remarkably superb and engineered. It has the Crayford focuser for very smooth and precise focusing. The optics are absolutely beautiful and vibrant. I purchased this scope for the portability and the quality and brand name. I purchased the Orion 52051 Super-Compact 10-20x30mm Zoom Spotting Scope a little while ago and new this would definitely be a great purchase. As one reviewer said this is one of Orion's Gems he was absolutely right on the money folks because it is a gem. Again I cannot say enough about the quality and visuals you see through this scope. Thank you Orion for this is a winner. Looking forward to a larger scope in the future. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top Teleskop!
Reviewed in Germany on May 11, 2017

5.0 out of 5 stars Bonne lunette transportable
Reviewed in France on August 13, 2015
Lunette facilement transportable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good quality compact scope
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 8, 2017
Very good quality compact scope. Easy to focus, assemble and use. Gives an edge over binoculars for picking up the smaller objects and seeing planets. My only gripe would be that the provided 4mm eyepiece would be much more useful if it were 10mm. The magnification at 4mm is so high that unless the scope is on a professional mount it is very hard to locate and study objects, particularly faint ones, as they move out of view quickly and less robust mounts have too much movement. As a "grab and go" telescope 10mm would be more usable. Still, a good price for this quality.
