    We had this exact carafe before and we loved it! So we ordered a new one to replace the one "we" broke. They have a glass liner and it keeps coffee hot all-day long. When the carafe arrived the liner was broken, you could here it rattle inside. But this one was discontinued, probably due to the same issues? But no problem Amazon made sure we were fully credited. Customer service that's why we keep going back to Amazon. Thanks

    I LOVE this carafe. I've had it for over a year now, and it works extremely well! Follow the instructions (i.e. fill with very hot water for 5 minutes) for preheating it, and you'll have steaming hot beverages for hours. I can't say the number of times I've poured something out of this the morning after a party and found the liquid inside to still be hot (the carafe itself is well insulated and doesn't get hot). It's handsome and lightweight--you can't go wrong.
    My only complaint would be that the handle and lid are made of plastic, which feels cheap, but since it's held up so well and is lightweight (good for elderly people), the plastic has worked out for the best.

    We got one of this exact type for our wedding in 2013, and it was a ROCK STAR carafe! Everyday we would put coffee in it at 6:30am, go to school, and when we got home at 4pm, we had hot coffee and didn’t waste a drop!

    Our old one shattered when the husband dropped it (glass interior), and because we loved it so much, we bought another of the same brand and style. This new carafe, even if we “prime it” with hot water before putting our coffee in, will only keep it hot for about 3 hours...then it gets cool quickly. We are disappointed with whatever changed about the design, and after two months of use, we don’t even use this anymore. It’s a waste of effort.

    Maybe we just got a defective one? I hope Oggi still makes great carafes...it’s just not this one.

    Iv had mine for over a year and I have to say that I’m amazed at how my coffee stays hot for hours, on the other hand it leaks from the bottom and it rusted. The coffee still stays very hot but I have to put a saucer underneath for the messy leak.
