These are good for cycling. Thin socks, very minimal seams which wear well for long rides. I've had other cycling socks that have large seams that cause hot spots, these don't do that. The sizing only shows women's sizes, however the actual package shows both men's and women's and they differ. I have included a picture of the actual package with men's sizes. I wear a size 9 bike shoe but I ordered the medium size sock, not knowing the men's size. However size 8 fits perfect, it is a perfect fit for my size 9 shoe. Tight fit but not over stretched. I hate a sock that is too long.

    These are definitely lightweight (i.e. hot summer) socks. They're super thin. They breathe very well, so don't plan to wear them early spring, late fall, or winter.

    Bought some of these a few years ago for road biking, but I liked them as just normal daily socks so much that I bought a bunch and got rid of my other ones. Saw a pack of these on Amazon on sale so I bought them. The logo is slightly different than the ones I bought a few years ago, so if you're picky about that kind of thing you might be unhappy. I like having ONE type of black socks so I don't have to waste a bunch of time sorting socks after doing laundry. These socks do tend to snag easily on stuff and have threads unravel which is why I took a star off. I don't know if they're meant as daily socks, but they should be pretty durable if they're meant for long rides. I'll keep buying these for the foreseeable future.

    Good not great. I thought these socks would have more compression to them but they are like any athletic sock. There is not support for the arch of the foot that I have come to enjoy in my athletic socks. These are a nice pair but nothing special in my opinion. The fit is alittle loose for my taste.

I've tried a number of different socks and now can't imagine going with anything else.

    This socks shrink substantially when washed, about as much as you'd expect cotton socks which are not pre-shrunk to shrink, but these contain no cotton.
    Large is my regular sock size. Though they fit well before I washed them according to the Pearl Izumi directions, they shrank enough that after washing, they were too tight on my feet. I ended up buying a set of the extra large size, and after washing though they also shrank, they were not too tight when wearing them.
    I washed one pair of the XL in order to compare with an unwashed XL pair. The socks lost almost an inch in length because of the washing, the loss of width was harder to measure. I took pictures showing the loss of size, but am not sure how to post pictures, but if I can, I will.
    Other than the excessive shrinking these are fine wicking socks. I recommend them, but order one size larger then you'd usually order for socks.
