    I tried this product a few times with a tubeless ready rim and tire and could not get the rim strip to seal. I eventually took the rim strip, rim, and tire to a bike shop and they could not get it to seal either. The bike shop switched the setup to using rim tape with success.

    I had a bike mechanic use these as an adaptation vs. standard strips for tubeless set up for a set of mountain bike rims that were not as deep as some and had flanges that were a bit less pronounced. In other words, the difference between the outer width and inner width was not as great as some rims. Using the narrower cyclo cross strip allows for a deeper tubeless seating when establishing the bead at set up, permitting a better seal and reducing the likelihood of a burp or blow out.

    FYI... any tubeless set or conversion you do on your own, have done by anyone else, and/or against manufacturer recommendation is at your own risk.
