    I did something stupid with my iPhone and needed to order another one. I got one from Amazon's used selection figuring that a few scratches would just be a minor issue. What I received was a unit that looked like new. After updating the software, everything worked like a champ. And just like the one I destroyed, this one is a lot more useful than I ever thought it would be. From the mail application to the flashlight. From Maps to the phone. It's just a handy little device and unlike the Android devices, at least the ones I've seen, a lot more intuitive which is great for me since I don't like to read manuals :-).

    Starting with the packaging - the serial number did not match on the box and the phone. I immediately knew something was fishy. Still, I decided to give it a shot. But soon realized that battery did not last more than a day.
    All other features were working well.

    Contacted amazon about the product and was able to get the return. Still a lot of hassel to go through. Would recommend spending a few bucks extra and buying from wireless store for the peace of mind.

    The phone was in good working order and is almost as promised. The only exception is it was sold as brand new and was not. The plug in charger block had scratches and was slightly dirty and the plastic protection screeen which you peel off was heavily scratched. But the phone itself was fine. We have been using it for about a week now with no issues.

    I ordered a iPhone 4s (At&t) for Christmas to give to my 15 year old son. The phone was delivered at the expected time and that is one reason why I am giving a rating of two stars. I realized that the phone was used so I was really nervous. When I opened the package, the phone was in excellent condition,no scratches or cracked screens. So that is the other reason why I rated it two stars. From this point, it receives no stars. I turned on the phone and went to settings, it said Verizon carrier. The description clearly stated At&t, my order form stated At&t. My plans to add this phone to my plan was ruined. I had to put the phone on Verizon plan which was totally out of the way. I gave the phone to my son on Christmas. He was excited to have it. When my family members asked what phone he had I said iPhone 4s. My son corrected me by saying iPhone 4,mama. The description clearly stated 4s, my order form stated 4s and I paid for a 4s. I was so upset I did not bother to try to correct the situation. I should have known better to order something used from Amazon. Please be cautious when ordering used items from Amazon.

    This is not USED LIKE NEW. Amazon must be using this to describe the phone cosmetically. The phone's volume knobs are in disrepair. Sometimes, I have to power the phone off to get the volume to work. The phone has already started freezing up and showing blank screens, like there is a short in it (just picked it up Friday). The charging port doesn't always work without fiddling with the enclosed cord that was sent with the phone and at least once already, I could not get the phone to shut down. Most irritating, is that the battery looses its charge very rapidly, despite having turned high usage options off, including location services and using lower light for the display screen. Browsing more than 15 minutes kills the battery to almost 50% when starting with a full charge. I have been an IPHONE user since 2008, when my Samsung Blackjack died (wheel stopped working - boy did I love that phone!!) so I'm very familiar with several different models. I really should return it but alas, I can't be without a phone and it beats what I already have; my touch screen went up and the screen can be fixed, but because the model is so old, I'd have to wait for the screen to be ordered.

    Overall, I appreciate Amazon offering used phones, wish quality control would do a better job of testing the phones before grading them. Used like new should have NONE of the aforementioned issues. Used good or very good would have been much more appropriate.

    I will purchase again though, because the other 3 phones I've bought over the years from AMAZON had varying degrees of success. It is still cheaper than purchasing from the network, even when I shell out whatever it costs for a new battery at the Apple Store.
