- Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2016I purchased this mainly for the mount and the Bluetooth remote. The mount adapter and tripod seemed a bit flimsy, however, as the mount has the standard size screw mount I was able to put this mount on my current tripod and it works great with my iPad Air. The Bluetooth remote works great for snapping pictures which keeps hands off the iPad so I do not get out of focus images. I'm sure the tripod that comes with this would be sufficient for most but I needed a more sturdy one for what I was working with. For the price, this set was awesome, and I have recommended it to many others that are using a photo studio setup such as myself for taking pictures of clothing for our LulaRoe inventory.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2017shipment came quickly. the middle bar keeps falling out of the center. It screws in at top but it kept falling out. I will see if I can fix it. The top of the mount that hold the I pad is wobbly. The screw on the top seems it is to short to hold the mount. I will see if I can repair. I really do not have the time to do to the post office. It did not come with a battery for the remote. I guess I should have read carefully. It is sturdy. I like the different height adjustments.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2016I purchased this for the Bluetooth remote and iPad tripod adapter as I have a great tripod already. Both items work great and are exactly what I needed for creating videos with my iPad. Because of the low price the tripod I consider a bonus and will save and re gift at a later date. I tried out the remote and ipad tripod adapter and both worked great. I was able to use the adapter without removing my ipad from it's otterbox. It was a tight fit, but so glad to be able to use it and keep my ipad protected. The remote will only start and stop a video recording, there is no pause feature on remote at least not that I can find.

At first, I was excited because you can remove the tablet holder and just use it as a regular tripod for cameras too. I figured it could replace my other tripod and I'd just have to cart around one instead of two. My DSLR camera isn't exactly light, however, and this tripod doesn't come close to holding up. The attachment plate doesn't sit securely on the tripod and with any weight on it slips out which could be catastrophic for any device that's in place when it drops on the floor.
My iPad pro was also too heavy for this tripod and had the same problem with the plate slipping out of its dock.
It didn't even work with my small iPhone 7! The same problem, plate slips out of the dock, dropping the device face first onto the floor.
This tripod was cheap, but it could end up being very costly when it destroys your expensive devices!
1.0 out of 5 starsI needed a tripod to hold my iPad and this looked good. Sadly, it's totally useless unless you want broken devices. Will drop your expensive devices right on the floor!

- Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2018Bought this for my son who is using an iPad Air to make stop motion movies.
PRO: Remote photo fob is a great feature and makes taking stationary photos very easy. Even just pressing the button on the iPad could produce some camera wobble and make the stitching of the pictures a little uneven. This feature solves that and provides a decent base for the iPad to rest in.
CONS: the tripod itself is very flimsy and feels cheap. So far, the extensions on the legs and the various locking mechanisms have held up okay. However, the quick connector that held the iPad cracked completely in half making it useless as it snapped across the mounting plate and included the lever that is supposed to hold the mount onto the top of the tripod. The worst part is that it wasn't because of rough use or dropping it. The iPad was merely angled down to shoot above the subject and the weight of the iPad and mount broke the top of the tripod. So it lasted about a week under normal use. The iPad mount can expand or contract based on the size of your device, but it is just barely large enough to hold an iPad Air. We had a very thin protective case on the iPad and that made it too large for the holder. But taking it on and off everytime he wants to use the tripod seemed unnecessarily difficult.
OVERALL: For the price you can't ask for much. If you are using it rarely to take staged photos shooting directly ahead, it would probably do the job fine. If you plan on moving the tripod around often or changing the angle of shooting, I would recommend spending a bit more to get a sturdier model.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2020Needed a iPad/tripod kit for zoom meetings at home. Have four different groups now that meet on zoom. Looked on Amazon and saw many possibilities but many/most did not “tilt“. Kept looking and found this in the tilt feature makes it much more flexible and easy to use and focused. It is very light weight andThe sturdiness is minimal, probably related to the light weight, but not an unexpected lacking. It is not shaky it is much more than sufficient for home use. It is not tippy and holds the iPad very well at multiple angles including tilting up and down. I definitely recommend this product for home use.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use
Easy to use, great price, love that the bag came with it for easy storage, I used it for my 8 year olds bday party photo booth and everyone loved it. The kids would push the remote button on their own and had a blast taking selfies . It was perfect for my iPad mini, very easy to set up on Bluetooth.
Cons a little flimsy, setting up the iPad in the right position was a little bit of a challenge and the remotes on and off button gets jammed.
Worth it for sure!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for DIY Wedding Photobooth!
Loved this product and for a great price! The legs are a little flimsy but it is expected with the price. Shipping was on time and I loved the little note inside the package from the seller! Great customer service! Thank you!

2.0 out of 5 stars Functionality with Fragility
The tripod serves it's function well enough, though the elevating gear function of the central shaft proved so fragile, that with in 3 minutes of simply using it, the notches of the gears seized up, and because of the weak plastic they were made of, sheered off and fell out of the assembly. Luckily a dead-bolt screw was provided in the build, so the elevating function is still some what usable.
Needed improvements;
1. Metal gears for the central shaft
2. taller screw for the camera mounting frame assembly
3. Stronger, more damage resistant plastic for the construction (less brittle, but also not too malleable.)
I implore the designers to take these comments to heart, if they truly desire to release a product which will be of proper service to their customers.
Thank your for your time.

3.0 out of 5 stars First Impression - Chemical Smell; Update - good enough to keep
I've just unpacked it and the chemical smell coming from the plastic parts is overwhelming. Putting it in the basement for a few days to air out before I try and use it. I'll come back and update this review then.
48 hours later:
Pro/Con
The chemical smell has dissipated for the most part but the soft foam handles and a couple of the plastic parts still have the odour - however it gives me hope that airing out is working.
Con
The screw for the tablet holder would not attach to the fast-release plate. There was extra plastic that had not been trimmed away at the base of the threaded hole as so the screw could not be screwed in. Once we cut that away, it worked fine.
The directions for the Bluetooth shutter contained some non-words (bad translation?) but even with that it was easy enough to follow the setup directions.
The remote shutter does not come with a strap so you have to provide your own.
Pro
Both with legs collapsed and extended, the tripod is stable with our tablet attached. It is lightweight but using it inside I would have no concerns about it tipping over.
The Bluetooth remote shutter was super easy to setup with our tablet camera (Galaxy Tablet).
