    I have used these several times for making screen printed holiday cards. My designs are usually 4 colors on the outside and a single color on the inside. The texture of the paper is very nice, and the overall quality is excellent. These cards have changed a bit over the years. Most of the changes (smoother surface) are welcome. However, this year, the cards were pre-folded, instead of just scored for folding. So, I had to unfold 200+ cards and flatten them under a weight for 24 hours. I would prefer that they came scored, but not folded. Other than that, I love these cards. They are nice and substantial, and they take the ink very well.

    Strathmore is slipping. WAS a reliable brand but not so much anymore. Mixed Media cards 10" x 7", and scored for easy folding. They are white, slightly textured, heavy enough to accept collage, Turkish marbling, light watercolor. I've been using these for years and am very disappointed in my latest purchase. Envelopes do NOT match the cards (they DO match the Printmaking cards which are more a cream color) and at least a dozen of the cards are NOT scored in the center.

    I have been buying the 400-series Strathmore blank watercolor cards and envelopes in two sizes for many years, and never had an issue with the scoring. Although I really like the vellum finish on these mixed media cards (that I plan to use primarily with colored pencils), the scoring on the 10 (of 100 cards) that I've checked so far is disappointing. Yes, I can trim the 1mm difference, but I'm still deducting one star for this reason.
