This comforter is so pretty and well made. I was a bit skeptical and on the fence for over a week; I kept searching for something else although I wanted to decorate my bedroom in something other than black, white and purple. I read almost all of the reviews (and there are many!) I went ahead and ordered it anyhow and I am not disappointed. One reviewer however really "inconvenienced" me. This person said that the colors were not true to how we see them on the monitor. Well I had planned on ordering some window treatments that seemed to match this set perfectly, but because Mr/Mrs Color-blind reviewer said that the green was more like a faded neon and the aqua was a "steel blue" I decided to wait on the window coverings. Well guess what? Somebody needs an eye exam! Yes, I will agree that the colors are not as bold as they appear...but they are aqua and sage...oh and by the way, the stripe is "hardly/slightly" off white....more white than anything which is perfect! When the set arrived I went back online to order the curtains and boohoo for me, they were no longer available. I ended up buying some in town which absolutely do not match but ...whatever! It's a beautiful set, if feels soft and good....it's comfy (yes, I use my comforters as a blanket at night - you only live once why save stuff?) it's lightweight, yet warm, yet cool (does that make sense?)...it really looks and feels like it should be more expensive than it is. I highly recommend this set! ...and I highly recommend a pair of Rx glasses to that reviewer!

Decent for the price
Overall I am pleased with this bedding, but it's definitely a case of you get what you pay for. The price was right. The comforter is thin, and with the quilting on the blue and green parts it looks more like a quilt or coverlet. It arrived fairly wrinkled but an ironing made it look much nicer. The brown sections are just smooth fabric and would be nicer if they were also quilted. As noted by some other reviewers, there are several small ovals sewn across the comforter, presumably to give it some support. It would have made sense to have sewn those in the same color as where they are located, but instead they are all in brown thread. It's not really all that noticeable so I can live with it. The pillows are nice, though the bolster is so lightly stuffed it felt cheap and I decided not to use it. Some people have mentioned that the size seemed kind of small for a Cal King, and since I am using it on a tall Queen bed that needs a larger cover to hide both mattresses, it works fine. The orientation of the comforter is not as shown in the photo. It actually fits the other way, so the resulting pattern is different. Photo attached to show what it really looks like. One final note, I am not sure at all how this will look after laundering. The stuffing is very thin and some reviews mention the stuffing bunching up. I will probably just spot clean it, dry clean it, or put it in the washing machine only when I am willing to replace it if it gets ruined.
