Great for diving and when on land.
5 out of 5 stars
Great for diving and when on land.
I bought this flashlight for diving but I use it for general purpose as well. The flashlight has a screw on top with an o ring to keep it water tight. The switch moves from side to side and is easy to operate but differs from what is found on many flashlights. I find it easy to use when wearing gloves and it stays on when pushed to the right. I have another diving light with a twist to operate switch. I find this type of switch tough to operate with one hand and slippery when wet or when wearing gloves. I have the Pelican attached to a retracting lanyard and when diving I snap the lanyard on my BCD. I ran it continuously for 30 minutes with fresh batteries and the beam strength after 30 minutes was about 95 pct of the fresh battery strength. It takes 4 AA batteries and I will probably replace them if I use it for more than 30 minutes when diving. On land, I will treat it like any flashlight. I would buy this again but it seems rugged so I expect it to last..

Excellent compact, bright work pocket carry flashlight. 3.1 watt Xenon bulb that outputs 25 lumens (10,000 candlepower) and has expected life of 30 hours. Round head with micro-dimpled reflector to eliminate that center dark hole in light beam. Flat body holds 4 AA batteries which allows comfortable pocket carry. Estimated 5 hours continuous runtime on new alkaline batteries. This flashlight is listed as a dive light but has all the certifications of an industrial light: MSHA approved; FM (factory mutual)approved Class 1,Div2,Group ABCD,T3A; ETL (UL) listed Class 1,Div 1,Group D; Class 1,Zone 1,Group IIA,T3. ABS plastic body is non-conductive with tough polycarbonate lens and double shock mounted battery compartment provides for a rugged work light. Fluorescent yellow body with photo-luminescent lens hood makes for an easily locatable light. Highly recommend for any industrial use. I use daily at 500MW powerplant.

Fits great in the holder on my rescue helmet. Light is bright and the green color is easy to see at night.
With the updates in LED technology though I'd probably look at those lights versus this one if you can find the right holder, only due to the power consumption difference and white light versus warm, incandescent.
I had to get this one because the specific helmet clamp I have only fit this model.

I had another flashlight like this that we have had for years, I think that we won it somewhere. I have to admit that we had wanted to get another one for years but the cost is steep for these models. What we like about them is that they can sit unused for a long time and the batteries never seem to go bad like our regular ones do. It has a very bright light, and easy to handle being smaller than flashlights with DD Batteries. It's very rugged and one of the few that you do not throw away after a couple of years. The 2400C Stealthlite is very close to the one we had and we like it also.

I bought this for my 90 year old mom who has trouble with clicking switches on small flashlights.
I figured she could handle the weird switch on this better. I think this will be enough for her to get
around at night. As for me I guess I'm too used to bright LED flashlights because the brightness on this is really low
and feels cheap. I know it uses a xenon bulb but I honestly think a one AA battery LED flashlight is 100 times brighter
than this one that uses 4 AA batteries. Perhaps the flashlight is defective? I don't know but the first thing I did was install new
Duracell batteries not the Eveready ones that came with it.. If you're used to bright LED flashlights then this is not for you..

Bought this because a friend has had one like it for many years (over 10!) of rough use and it still works great. It is a bit expensive, but I'm tired of buying flashlights and having the batteries get corroded, or they just stop working after only a year or two. The so-calied mag lights are not that bright to begin with, but this puts out a wide bright beam like a much larger flashlihght. I kept borrowing my friend's Pelican light and he finally asked me to get my own.

The light is durable and works as advertised, I'm just constantly surprised at the weakness of the light intensity each time I turn it on. I should have spent more for more lumens. This is a fine light for your toolbox for various around-the-home tasks, but not up to needs of the emergency worker or outdoor junkie.

This flashlight is one of the best small flashlights I've owned and ive owned alot. It is very bright and very durable which i love. I found the light to be easy to use and very versatile I've used it on all of my tasks which in the past would require me to change to a different flashlight to finish the job. All and all this is a great light and i highly recommend it to anyone who needs a good flashlight especially campers and backpackers which is what i use it for. So buy it.

Pre LED this might have been a good choice. Now it's just another overpriced waterproof flashlight. I don't have experience with other Xenon lights but I can't see much of a difference btn this and a bright incandescent. Also the lanyard is cheapie. Another gripe: the On switch is mushy and clicks on at the end of the throw. And when it clicks on or off it sounds like you cracked the switch - a bit disconcerting until you get used to it. Probably not an issue if you're under water, but I use this light on a sailboat at night.

This is a great flashlight for wet activities and for hazardous environments. The flashlight has a 45 Lumens Xenon which is great four good light penetration underwater the beam is very well focused and travels a fair distance. It is not the brightest flashlight in the world before activities in water it is excellent

This flashlight is also excellent for people looking for a warm white light opposed to a white or blue LED this flashlight makes a great alternative to LEDs

    Pelicans warranty is also excellent
