The Palau adjustable fin opens the way for a new type of snorkeling and swimming fin. It has been designed for two specific purposes. Product Description

The Palau long adjustable fin (LAF) opens the way for a new type of snorkeling and swimming fin. It has been designed for two specific purposes. The first was to have a foot pocket that could easily adapt to at least three or four consecutive foot sizes. This would enable the same fin to be used by all the members of a family, or by a group of friends. It would also make it great for rentals in a diving center or on a charter boat, without requiring an infinite number of sizes. The second purpose was to guarantee extreme comfort and an ease of fit in a strapped open heel fin even if it is to be worn barefoot. The result is a fin that is extraordinarily practical, that adapts to practically any foot size, and that allows for very quick fitting in any situation. The blade is made from a lightweight, yet responsive material that assures a fluid and effortless kick, yet at the same time quite powerful. The fin blade extends from the top of the foot pocket to maximize the surface area. The strap has a strong pull tab ring to allow quick reversal of the strap for ease of donning and doffing or to clip the fins to the body or equipment. The fin pocket is made from a soft elastomer for added comfort. The Palau is designed and manufactured in Italy by Cressi, a brand pioneer in Scuba Diving, Snorkeling and Freediving equipment since 1946. The product is covered by a 2-year limited warranty.

Really great fin, affordable, very soft and comfortable, propels well...BUT. One issue.

Really great fin, affordable, very soft and comfortable, propels well...BUT. One issue.
These fins are amazing. Very, very comfortable — no rubbing, very soft. Easy to wear for hours upon hours of snorkeling. They propel you very well in the water, and are easy to put on and take off. Not easy to walk on land though, so put them on and take them off in the water. I am so glad we purchased these, they made our trip fabulous. HOWEVER: My one caveat is that on our last day, the heel strap on one of my husband’s fins randomly popped completely off while snorkeling on a reef in the Bahamas, and we never found it. He had never adjusted or messed with it, so we don’t know why it came off. The design seems to be made so that removing that strap is not easy and it should be very secure. But apparently something was not fit correctly somehow and it came off, rendering the fin useless. Thankfully it was the last day of our vacation. Had it happened earlier, it would have ruined our reef snorkeling plans. And now we have a useless pair of fins. I contacted the company to see if they will make this right. I asked for a replacement strap or replacement fin. I will update this review to 5-star if they get back to me and handle this issue adequately.

These fins are lightweight, yet powerful, making them great for snorkeling or diving. My partner and I both have a pair that we use while going on a diving adventure. They stay secure even in stronger currents or swells, providing good propulsion without requiring too much effort. Overall, a high-quality product from Cressi that performs well in the water!

Bought these last-minute for a three week trip to the Costa Brava, Spain They were just the right size to be able to squeeze into my carry-on. Used for a total of at least 30+ hours in the water, for snorkelling and spearfishing all along the coast. I definitely wasn't expecting much out of a $30 pair of fins but these performed exceptionally well. While tight on my feet (size 13 shoe) the material was supple enough to conform to my wide forefoot/narrow heel, and stayed put for hours at a time while also being very comfortable (no blisters). For those with larger feet, it helps to grab the fins by the harder plastic on the side of the boot and just twist the boot side to side while pulling onto the foot (same to remove). These fins stayed tight and did not come loose once (on a powerful swimmer). There is a little tab that locks onto the grooves on the strap, it's important that the tab is pushed in otherwise the strap will come loose (possibly the source of complaints about straps not staying tight). Overall very pleasant experience with these fins, recommend them highly.

Fins worked great for snorkeling above and below surface in STX - Cane Bay, Isaac's and Buck Island. Easy to adjust straps made these very comfortable with bare feet or with boot/sox. Fairly stiff and long - strong swimmers will be able to propel well but these don't fit in typical carry-on luggage.

We got these fins to take on a trip to Hawaii. We got Cressi masks and snorkels and were impressed with the quality. These fins looked nice and were comfortable when we tried them on at home. We took them all the way to Hawaii. Our first snorkel destination was an out of the way area on the Big Island. As soon as we got in the water the heel straps started popping off. We took them off and tried to adjust them several times with no luck. We ended up having to leave them on the rocks while attempted to snorkel without fins (luckily it was not a place with strong currents). We ended up having to rent fins for the rest of our trip and lug these back to return to Amazon. We got the L-XL. I have size 13 feet and my partner has 10.5 and we both had the same issue, so the size was not a factor. The clasp for the heel strap is not well designed, just a plastic piece that holds against a ridge in the plastic strap. When we were at home and tried them dry, there was no problem. As soon as they got wet the plastic strap just popped out. We tired them loose and tight, both with same outcome. Don't waste your time on these, spend some extra money for a better pair.

These do the job perfectly for snorkeling. My foot size is Men's US9 so I bought the large ones in order to use size small booties with it. It worked, but it's a tad bit snug. The straps are pretty sturdy, however the buckles are all plastic--including the attachment to the fin, so i don't have a lot of confidence in them lasting --although i've used them on 10 outings so far without a problem. Some reviews complain about the buckle allowing the strap to come loose during use, but I've not had that problem. Also, the large ones fit well enough without booties on a US9 foot as well (with the straps totally tightened down the the max). PS. if not using booties, at least use some socks, that goes for any fins in general. (any normal nylon socks will do) I know it seems weird at first, but you'll thank me later -- it eliminates all chafing.

I was looking for an easier to use fin for snorkeling and for when my feet are sore from my long free diving fins, and these fins are excellent! The foot pocket is extremely comfortable, I love that I don’t have to wear a sock or boot with them. The fin/blade is very flexible, so much that when I first tried them on in the pool it felt like I wasn’t wearing any fins (but this might be due to me just being used to wearing long stiff blades). These fins are great for snorkeling or beginners who don’t yet have that muscle strength. I would not recommend theses for scuba or freediving as they require a lot of exertion when trying to dive deeper. However they are of excellent quality, price, and comfort.

I usually have a shoe size of women’s 6.5-7 and the X-XS were perfect.

I wear a women’s size 8 and I got the S/M they are literally perfect no rubbing at all and I have really skinny feet so usually there is wiggle room but these were perfect. They are so comfortable. The rubber is so soft on my feet and they don’t rub anywhere. They are the perfect combination of stiff and flexible, and they are just long enough where you get good propulsion, SUPER RECOMMEND!
