    Pros: It looks and feels great, and makes the body a bit larger and easier to hold (ie, your pinky has something to hold on to), plus it provides some protection to the lower part of the body.

    Cons: It's expensive and the base is a thin sheet of what appears to be brushed aluminum over a 3-4 layer plastic wafer - cheap materials at a premium price. I ended up replacing mine with a competing model which had a solid aluminum baseplate for less money.
