I've been a KISS fan since I was 6 years old and several years ago I started collecting and listening to vinyl. Of course collecting KISS on vinyl was and continues to be a priority. I finally got around to buying this one as it became available again. I also have this album as part of the KISS Alive box set so I knew how it sounded performance wise and sonically. I wasn't in a big hurry to buy this one but I'm really enjoying having it as a stand alone album. The sleeve, though not a gatefold, still looks great. There aren't any extras, just the records. The records themselves came in nice paper sleeves lined with rice paper so both albums were clean, shiny and not scuffed. One of things that was a nice surprise was that both albums are flat without any warp. It isn't uncommon for newer pressings of records to have a little edge warp that while may not affect playability, is annoying to see. These are very nicely pressed and packaged records. Even the hype sticker was placed neatly in the upper left hand corner of the sleeve. This isn't the best live album put out by KISS but it is the original 4 members playing. The set list has all the classics and sonically sounds balanced. Highly recommended to add to your KISS vinyl collection!

    The reason for buying this album is because it's the last real Kiss recording that features the original members. The reunion album (Psycho Circus) only had Ace and Peter on a few songs. So for those like myself who wanted to hear the reunited band after decades apart, this is it. Performance wise it doesn't measure up to Alive or Alive II, but it's still solid. Gear wise they're not using those vintage Gibson guitars and Marshall amps like in old days, and I think that makes a difference in the tone. Recording wise I like that I can hear separation between the Ace and Paul's guitars. Peter's drumming is the weakest of the group performance wise, but it's not a big problem. For me it's always been about Ace's guitar leads and Paul's vocals, and hearing them shine in the year 2000 is great. Again, this original lineup will probably never reform or record again, so this is historic in my book.

    i saw KISS 28times in my live between 1983 & 2010....! 9 times was the PSYCHO CIRCUS-Tour in Europe.....9 Concerts within 14 days ! And one year later I saw them in Richmond Coliseum on the 6th of June 2000 ! Remember the Tour-Program and there was standing ALIVE 4 will come in March ! But that never happend ! Later, I think in 2006 was the ALIVE BOX-SET released, but I haven't it till today......but this will change !
    Now I have the Vinyl in my Home.......and I am lucky becaus this line-up I saw in both years, 1999 & 2000, so it's a great Memory for me ! Will love it till I die !
    Hope for a release on CD too !!!!

    Complain if you want to. I don't care if it's just 2 albums in a sleeve. I don't listen to the package. I have listened to the album 4 times. This is the original Alive IV before a merger cancelled it. The record has 3 tracks the Alive box set lacks. I was at this show, and all but 2 songs appear. That being Shock me and Cold Gin.

    46 years old and new Kiss fan. A few years ago a started buying vinyl records and now have over a thousand. I bought most used and in bulk. My autistic son loves listening to Queen, Simon and Garfunkel. One day he put on Kiss Alive and I came downstairs and really listened to the LP.

    It's not that I didn't know who kiss was, I was just more into Zeppelin, Doors, and Motley Crew. I really appreciate Kiss more than I ever have. I am mainly listening to Kiss with Ace and Chris.

    I really enjoyed this album. In fact listening to side D as I write it. The sound quality is good, but on the low side though. Any live recording as I have found has this issue vs studio album.

    Song selection is good, but wish classics like Cold Gin and Shock Me was on there, but are on other Alive Albums, so not a huge issue or knock against it. You can't please everyone.

    A big downside is the double love set did not come in a gatefold and with no booklet or posters. Pretty much in a jacket and plain white dust sleeves. For the price, there is no excuse for that. If it was packaged like the Alive and Alive II would definitely be 5/5 stars.

    All and all I am very happy to add another Kiss albums to my collection and now waiting for original 1978 pressings of the solo albums. So a late member of Kiss Army, wish I was a bigger fan earlier so could have seen them all play together in the farewell tour.

    It's Kiss Alive III. Yeah I know there has been others since Alive II, but I like the original lineup and this is a great listen. I invite you to listen to 2000 Man, which is off the Dynasty album. Ace Frehley sounds really good on this track. I would recommend this.

    Por fin se edita dentro de la nueva serie de re-ediciones del catalogo de KISS en el 2014, este Alive Millenium que en un principio iba a titularse "Alive IV".

    La grabación es una de las mas esperadas, ya que no es una reedicion como tal sino que esta se edita por primera vez en vinilo, pero la verdad es que el artwork que rodea esta edición te deja con ganas de más.

    Esta edición, no es como las ediciones convencionales de un álbum doble en vinilo, me explico, no trae una doble carpeta que en cada una contenga un disco, sino que el formato de la carpeta es como si de un sencillo se tratara.

    Nada de libretos explicativos o material fotográfico extra viene incluido en el interior. para mi punto de vista un poco pobre ya que tenían una oportunidad perfecta para haber editado una edición de lujo con fotos y algo de texto con un poco de historia sobre la grabación y el punto en el que ese momento se encontraba la banda.

    Si que se agradece que se pueda descargar una copia de dicho álbum en soporte MP3. Y que incluya también los extras de la edición japonesa, en total 18 cortes.

    La gestión, envío y protección por parte de Amazon para este producto es de 10.
