Worth it once built
The pieces to the bench are poorly made, some pieces for me were bent out of place. When I change the position, the piece that you move to change the incline scrapes against the metal piece acting as a saw and scratching it. Also, the pin you use to lock the position has a string that is suppose to be screwed into the base, but there was no hole to put the screw into. However, these problems only made it harder to put together, and didn't effect the usage at all. The pin string that is made so the pin dosnt get lost I have just taped to the base, and it is fine. The curved position changing piece scraping the side is okay because it is still easy to move and the scraping will eventually stop once I break it in, and it is not offset enough to saw through the base enough to cause danger. The back is wobbly if you leave the bolt that holds the back into the base loose like the directions tell you to, but do NOT listen to the directions here, and tighten the bolt so that it is secure, and the back should move just fine, with no risk of it wobbling if you leave it loose like the directions advise. The plastic caps that go on the side of the foam leg pads have to be hammered into place with something that is very gentle because one hit onto one of the plastic caps and I broke one. However these caps don't effect performance so I'm okay with it. Just be gentle while putting them in. Free poster explaining how to do 18 excersizes with pictures! Very nice seat and back. Be sure you have a wrench and some tool to hold the back of the bolt while tightening the nut! These two tools are very very reccomended to tighten each bolt safely and securely. Aside from some manufacturing errors, yours may be different but if not once it is built it works very good. 3.85 stars.

I’ve had this item a few years now. I’ve used it a lot, it was cheaper for an adjustable bench but it’s just been a really good investment. At my heaviest it probably held me at 270 plus another 70lns in weights, so it can hold a fair amount. I’ve had no issues with it breaking or anything. The leg pads and padding in the bench itself aren’t the best but they’re fully functional and they don’t seem to be wearing out or degrading in a noticeable way even several years of use later.

    Pros:
    1. Handles my weight and my weights easy.
    2. Adjustment is really simple, takes seconds to convert from incline to decline and everything between.
    3. The added leg holders make abs possible at a decline which is solid exercise and an building for a workout bench.
    4. Durable, I’ve used it for years for a while when I was unemployed 3-4 hours a day. It’s going strong with no rips or frays.

    Cons:
    1. It’s Nots not very padded but that’s a small price to pay for the rest of its strengths

I needed a bench to do the Body Beast workouts as a stability ball was just not cutting it. It is a very comfortable bench with multiple positions and the option to put it all the way does to do sit ups and crunch which I like better than doing them on the floor. Be very careful and making sure that the position pin is placed all the way through and locked in place. I learned the hard way and had it give way when I leaned back to do a set. This is not the sturdiest bench. It was put together correctly and everything tightened as much as possible, but it is still wobbly. For the price and what I intend to use it for I can deal with that. If you are looking for something more solid, keep looking.

For me this serves my needs, didn't break the bank, comfortable and easy to move, takes up little space.

so im trying to be fair on my review. on one side price is really good, the body is good too but the part where you rest the back of your legs for some reason i can feel the plastic part and that damage my legs, but to fix it I put 2 towels on top of that so is more soft and i dont feel the plastic part.

Now , this is good for soft light weight workouts, or doing abs, but dont use it with heavy weight because the long red body where you rest your back wiggles moves from side to side a little and that gives no stability for heavy weights, but for light or abs workout it does the job.

the legs are stable so no problem on that also the change on angles works too. I have being using it almost every day since I bought it and so far gets the job done. btw i weight 230 pounds muscle so yup so far so good ^_^

sturdiness: overall the product is very solid it just wiggle or move from side to side a little on the long body. legs are stable
i will give it a 5 star if it didn't wiggle and more cover on the plastic part where you rest the legs.

Probably rating this between a 3 1/2 and 4 because I have never used it yet. I am 260lbs. and 6' 2" so I will come back with an update after using it a few times. But, at this point I notice one huge design flaw that I should have noticed at the very beginning because it's so obvious. This is NOT a flat bench. Clearly in the picture the bench is slanted in its design. Naturally this is going to be a noticeable problem for anyone using totally flat bench exercises. Why they didn't just create the frame to be totally flat is beyond me. It would have been very easy to do so. There's really no reason why the bottom frame should be slanted at an angle that I can tell. It actually even depreciates the ergonomics of the bench as a flat bench naturally would be more sturdy. But go figure. So keep in mind when purchasing this bench that you will always be at a decline and when you put the bench either straight up or straight horizontal the seat is constantly at an almost 45 degree angle. Constantly. That won't change, even if you adjust the back. So yeah, there's that. But for now, I think, for the price, this bench is pretty good. We'll see how well it holds up with use and how well it works for someone my size and weight.

    ****UPDATE****

So used it a few times and it seems very sturdy. I realized the flat bench issue is not that much of a problem actually. It's pretty comfortable really, and I'm 6'2" 270 about, so keep that in mind. For me, the ab function is far less comfortable then I'd like, so I might only use that occasionally and just save the ab exercises for when I go to the gym. When I put my legs into the foam pillars it just really hurts to go back. It works better if I keep my calves outside of the foam pillars actually. So for me, the main functions I will use on this bench are for my upper body. The incline, the decline, and the flat bench for chest will probably be the most used functions for me. That's all I can say for now, it's pretty sturdy, not wobbly, and I weigh a lot so it should suit the average guy a lot better than it does me. Pretty good buy for the price and it's function. Not the best, not perfect, but for the price, it's a good deal.

Good quality for the price. Great for home/basement gym. Sturdy and secure. Definitely not pro or gym quality but 5 stars on value. If you're a hardcore exerciser this might not be the best choice. Assembly took about 45 mins. Make sure you have socket wrench or adjustable wrench to tighten the lock nuts. Downsides: The backing of the seat is somewhat cheap construction - it's stapled on fabric material over what looks like particleboard. The pin is a bit hard to insert - you have to line up 3 holes perfectly. On more expensive units there's an easier adjustment mechanism.

If you are looking for a professional gym grade weight bench this is not for you. This bench is lightweight and inexpensive, so when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find that the quality of the product is quite good' much better than I expected actually. Except for the cushions it's made of a good grade of precision machined powder coated steel. Assembling the bench was easy, it bolts together with Nylock nuts that will not loosen, and the instructions where simple. Once assembled the bench is quite sturdy, stable, comfortable and easy to adjust. .
The bottom line; is this is a very decent home gym weight bench and at $80 CDN. a great value.
