Will not work for 2004-2009 CRF250R

Will not work for 2004-2009 CRF250R
Will NOT work for 2004-2009 crf250r. Steer tube is tapered and the tool will not expand enough to contact the bearing. Other than that it is useful for a lot of other applications

I needed to remove the outer bearing races from the steering neck of my Moto Guzzi V7 motorcycle. After several tries with various "home-made" tools--long punch, big screwdriver, socket extension, pipe, close fitting socket, etc.--I bought this tool after seeing it used on several YouTube videos. It worked perfectly: it snapped in to place instantly and the race was out with a few hammer blows in about 10 seconds. Even if I didn't have other bikes that I might need it for someday, this tool would still be worth the price for a one-time use.

It is not just for bicycles. It is very heavy-duty and should work on any accessible car or motorcycle bearing race with an OD of about 50 mm or less. Even rusty races will probably yield to an onslaught form this device.

Don't waste time and risk damage messing around with make-do implements. This is the right tool for the job.

This tool made steering head race removal a breeze. The design is perfectly simple yet very effective. Just slide tool through steering head, pointy end first, until the flared end catches the race. After a couple of whacks with the heavy hammer the tool will seat against the lip of the race and before you know it your race is rolling around on the floor.

Very well built product. Sturdy and professional looking tool, however, if the taper just under the race is next to nothing this tool will not work. I tried to modify it to get it to grab the race with no luck.

Great headset tool. I should have bought one years ago. Only issue is USPS seemed to put effort into messing up the shipping on this order. They managed to send it to the wrong processing facility not once but twice. One day shipping turned in to four business days and five actual days to be delivered to me.

The product is perfect to remove bottom bracket but you need to check the inside diameter of the bearing you have to remove.

I had two 32mm bearing races to remove from my BMW F800. This was easy, too easy! Fits perfect and no slipping or moving of the race lip at all. 5 heavy hits with a hammer and out it came on each side. No damage to bike or tool. Well worth the money and saves you so much hassle.

As always Park Tool delivers. An effective easy to use tool that doesn't damage the bike or itself. This will work many many times. Worth the money.

Editing: Just used it again to remove a destroyed pressfit bottom bracket. Barely 1mm of shell left to get purchase on. This knocked it out without slipping even once. Phenomenal.
