I'm an experienced DIYer, so installation was quick and uncomplicated. Fixture arrived well-cushioned in cardboard and bubble wrap. Tight assembly: nothing loose, skewed, or cracked. Hangs perfectly level and balanced. Brass looks great, no tarnish, no scratches or dents. No missing parts or hardware. I hung this fixture in the garage temporarily, then threaded the power cord through the chain links. The slack is in the power cord -- the fixture's weight is supported by the chain, not the cord. Used two small cable ties to attach cord to chain links. Took the fixture outside to the front door, and had it hung within minutes. What a vast improvement over the original "yawn" fixture.
