    Yes, it is a strange?...ugly?...off-putting? pink ball and I LOVE IT. Maybe it is due to a little nostalgia for the 1970's pink bathrooms. Back to the golf balls, however. I have played with various bright colored balls from Volvik and other brands (e.g. Bridgestone, Srixon, Nike), but these off-colored pink balls have been the easiest for me to spot on the golf course through summer, fall and winter play.

    Personal experiences with this 2-piece ball:
    1) similar distances and forgiveness as Bridgestone E6/E5 and Callaway Supersoft. It is recommended for drivers swing speed of 70-90 mph.
    2) sound upon hitting, especially with putting, is not as "clicky" as the Bridgestone but not mushy soft like Supersoft. Personally, this is the perfect impact sound for me, just solid. Sound and feel often goes hand in hand. Consequently, I feel that DS77 is a soft and responsive ball without being too soft (i.e., Supersoft).
    3) though most "distance friendly, slow swing speed" balls are renown for poor short game characteristics, DS 77 is actually pretty good around the greens. Stops sooner and holds better on the green than E6 and Supersoft on pitching, chipping and bunker play.

    Favorite 3 piece ball: Callaway Chromesoft.
    Favorite 2 piece ball: Volvik DS77.

    Good ball but I still like and will go back to the Bridgestone e6. I played 3 rounds with the Volvick which might not really have been a long enough time to get a full evaluation of the ball. I really had a problem with hitting a slice with clubs I normally do not slice. Ball held up well and my distance was similar to the e6 which I have used for the last 6-7 years.

    Bought these balls to play in the winter. The color of the ball was bleeding off the balls onto the sleeve of the packaging. By the third hole I had yellow rubbing off onto my golf glove. On top of it, they are as hard as a rock and felt like they were sticking to the club face at impact.

    Not happy at all with the product!
