- Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 2020I have always wanted a rain barrel but never needed one until now. So I spent a lot of time trying to find one that met all of my needs but would also be a lovely addition to my back porch decor. Perfect color for me. Very sturdy. Size and shape works great for the area where this item must be placed to catch the downspout water that was washing away my hillside mulch. When it arrived the two brass spigots were missing but I called amazon who contacted the seller and within a few days the two spigots arrived in the mail. They were easy to install. I love the ease of attaching a hose to the bottom spigot and then to be able to fill a watering can from the top spigot. As soon as it arrived I filled the planter part with dirt and now my Genovese basil is growing on top. Lovely! I really appreciate the ease of dealing with this seller. They were helpful, kind and speedy in responding to my missing parts.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2023I had just a little trouble getting all the parts out of the rain barrel, but otherwise it was easy. I have a new house and was having gutters installed. I wanted to add a couple of rain barrels and the gutter installer told me that if I bought them that they would install them when they put up the gutters. It hasn't rained yet so I don't know how they will perform when they fill up with water, but they look really nice. The gutter installers as well as several other trades people who were doing some finish work on my house have asked me where they can get them. So if they work half as well as they look I am going to be very happy with them.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2024Some of the reviews here had me wondering if I should buy this product, I did. No issues that others have had with bulging, dripping, etc - always makes me wonder if people that write these reviews have ever changed their air conditioner filters or changed a light bulb. I leveled the unit - left to right and leveled the back to be higher than the front so that if the water overflowed (as designed, when full) it would spill further from the base and not siphon back under the base. I put cement blocks under the unit to support the weight and then poured gravel all around to discourage bugs, snakes, etc from making a home there. My A/C unit puts out about 10 gal of condensate water per day (I measured it) so I had a very muddy spot in the yard before adding this. Now plenty of water for my potted plants

- Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2021I ordered and received this rain gutter in March, 2021 and had it installed by the professional rain gutter installer. We have not had any real rain in our area since then. My husband decided the rinse the dust off and water went inside. Immediately water was dripping at a steady pace out of the front bottom corner. I expect better quality and quality control from the manufacturer for my money, I paid $150.00 for this rain barrel, that doesn't hold water!
Update 10/26/21
Fixed the leak ourselves. Now, I live in California and just had our first serious rain. This rain barrel accepted the water from the rain gutter, but as if got full the rain barrel starting bulging out in the front side, so much so, that it appeared as if to burst. Once the water was released from through the bottom spigot, the bulging only subsided minimally. I don't think this is how a rain barrel react to being full.
Wish I had purchased something different.
Would not recommend this product!!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2021This is ingenious idea. I'm soo glad I bought it. So front porch has lip that's covers the walkway in front of the house. I reached out to a gutter company to put up gutters and due the dip in the lip there was no way I could set up a without it sticking and water would still pile up on the new travertine floor that recent installed which would cause mildew over time. The gutter guy told me about this water barrel so I decided to give it a try and boy was this a great idea!! I absolutely love it its soo cute a great solution I highly recommend.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2025The holes in the planter area go all the way through the back of the planter, so water drains out towards the foundation of the house. Easy to plug them up, though. I placed mine in the corner where the water runs from the roof between the deck and the patio and it looks good. We have flooding this week and it's done a great job once I plugged those holes. Was able to connect a hose to divert the water off the patio and away from the foundation rather than just flooding that corner.

1.0 out of 5 stars It leaks
I contacted the seller who was meant to send us a return slip so I could return the water butt, they never sent it, when I enquired I had run out of the time allowed to return it, I think they knew this so that’s why they took there time, it looks nice but that’s where it ends,
