I have flat fine straight hair that likes to cling to my head. I wanted volume at the top, getting off my scalp, and looking lively and fuller. I can absolutely tell the difference when I do and do not use this root lift spray. It's light enough that it doesn't weigh my fine hair down, and has a good enough hold that it'll keep volume for 3 days. Easier and less messy to use than mousse as well, and holds better.
I spritz haphazardly at my roots, lifting up random sections to try and cover most of the roots. Then blow dry, sometimes upside-down. Works great and is now a regular in my routine. Keeps my hair from getting greasy, too, cause it's not stuck flat to my scalp. The scent is good, I can't do overpowering stinky stuff, and this is very pleasant.
Definitely recommend for getting that necessary root lift and body!

Bottle leaked during delivery
The product itself is good…I have used the Root Lift before. However one of the bottles I ordered had leaked and when I weighed them both, the bottle that leaked was 1/2 less than the other. Definitely a bummer since this stuff ain’t cheap. :-( So, this review isn’t so much geared toward the product itself, but the carelessness in how the product is shipped.
