    Well built, and although it is a "GEL" it is stiffer than the seat that originally came with my Giant racing bike. Price was good but you definitely need padded shorts when riding 5 miles or more. I do mile 1-5 mile sprints on hard concrete roads so I wanted something with gel padding. If you ride and sit on your seat for more than 10 miles at a time, wear padded shorts and you need to get used to riding with this type of seat, and break it in. I've been riding for a long time so I am comparing with the type of seats I have had in the past. One of my seats was a stiff suede leather seat and this seat performs a little like that seat except it tends to slide more.

    Great blend of comfort & performance. It's not for weight-weenies, but it's not some bloated, heavy pillow of a "comfort" saddle either. The profile is flat so you sit properly on your sitbones. I use this saddle on both my mountain and road bikes and it's great for both on rides of up to 10 hours. My only slight complaint is that the one on my mountain bike has developed some softness and sag in the middle, so it's starting to feel like I sit in the saddle rather than on it. But after almost two years of riding 2-4 times per week, I can't complain, and I'll definitely buy another.

    Super Sattel, der mich nach relativ kurzem Einfahren auf meinem Alpencross begleitet hat. Montiert wurde er auf einem MTB, und zwar dem CUBE Stereo 120 HPC Race. Ich war auf der Suche nach einem Mittelding zwischen Tourensofa und sportlichem Sattel. Der hier trifft es genau. Wichtg ist vorher das Selle Italia Fitting System zu konsultieren und dann die richtige Sattelform (hier: S2) zu finden.

    Die Ausparung habe ich nicht gespürt, aber eben auch keinen unangenehmen Druck oder gar Taubheitsgefühle. Verarbeitung ist klasse (Leder) und er sieht nach rund 1000km nur leicht patiniert (nicht abgenutzt!) aus. Wirklich ein wunderbarer Sattel.

    Mini Kritikpunkt: Die Optik ist doch recht wuchtig und kurz, dadurch ist er optisch eher am Tourensofa als am Sportsattel: ABER: Das spürt man beim Fahren nicht, d.h. er vermittelt die Agilität und Kontrolle, die ich bei einem MTB Sattel erwarte.
