    I was a tad skeptical of these because I own some Icebreaker base layers and they can sometimes feel a wee bit scratchy, and I’m usually a bikini underwear gal so I wondered if the boyshort cut would feel weird.

    That said, I’m SO glad I bought these. They are incredibly comfortable, not itchy at all! Also very lightweight and I assume they will dry in a jiffy like all Icebreaker products. I will be wearing them for my JMT thru-hike this summer.

    I hate that I'm hooked on $40 underwear, but these are just so comfortable and functional. For multi-day treks, you can't beat wool underwear that stay much fresher than cotton or synthetics. In a pinch, they're easy to wash in a motel sink and hang to dry by the next day. The cut is really comfortable, too, as they don't ride up. The only downside is that the thicker, high-quality seams do show through yoga pants, if you care about that sort of thing. I have also worn these as believable swim bottoms when I forgot my swimsuit! (They just look like boy shorts.)

    I love the color and feel of the merino wool but had a problem with the fit. These panties ride. And by that I mean they ride up and wad. They literally give meaning to the saying " dont get your panties in a wad", which is what they do. It is not a comfortable feeling for hiking or really any activity. Well, maybe they would be ok for sitting...really still...meditating maybe...? I wanted to love them, but I dont. I am irritatingly disappointed by the fit.
