Shure DMK57 52 Drum Mic Kit Closeup 3 SM57s

SM57s Deliver Crisp Attack and Detailed Overtones

Drummers everywhere revere the Shure SM57 as the go-to mic for capturing snare and toms. Its contoured frequency response emphasizes the midrange punch and crisp attack that cuts right through a mix. You'll hear every ghost note and intricate rudiment with stunning clarity. Three SM57s are included so you can properly mic your entire setup, from rack toms down to the snare. These durable workhorses will also withstand the inevitable dings from errant stick strikes.

Shure DMK57 52 Drum Mic Kit Closeup Beta 52

The BETA 52A Brings Thunderous Low-End Presence

To capture your kick drum's room-shaking depth, the DMK57-52 provides Shure's BETA 52A large-diaphragm dynamic mic. Meticulously engineered to reinforce the most powerful lows, the BETA 52A ensures your kick drum anchors the groove with tight, focused punch. Its own built-in shockmount helps suppress any resonance from the kick's booming low frequencies. You'll achieve a massive, controlled sound that makes your kick the rhythmic bedrock of the track.

I decided on this instead of a cheap version & glad I did . Sound great . Might need a couple more for cymbals if doing serious recording. Good quality

The beta 52 sounds great, right out of the box. Just about everyone knows what a Sm57 is. The 57's took a little adjustment, physical location, gain, etc....but sound pretty darn good. Versatile mics that I can use for anything. The clamps actually convert to cymbal stand mounts. They don't have to clamp to the drum rim. All metal construction, with no plastic. I like them so far.

I know there are other brands of mics that are more "high end" for recording drums with, but as a drummer AND or the recording end, in most of my recording sessions shure mics had always been used. And of course with the recording in if you know what you're doing during the mixing process, the sound comes out great as it had on recording I had done on the drums as the drummer. I trust this series of mics hands down.
