perfect for any v
I just got my skb v case today and I have nothing but good things to say about it. This case holds my jackson rr3 and king v very well. The only down side is that when i put my jackson's in it, the neck pops up a bit, but thats the only problem I have. Also the TSA locks seem to be good to. I definetly recomend this case to any V owner.

Not the Best Quality
SKB is known for making really good cases; I own a couple of their other models for other pieces of equipment and I love them. This case shows a good effort by SKB, but there is one problem with it. The way the hinges are positioned on the case, it makes it really easy for them to become weak and break off; one of them is just about to blow out on my case. This case used to be the only option for a v-shaped hard-shell guitar case, so it didn't make much of a difference, but now I would recommend a TKL case; especially if you own a Gibson Flying V. TKL makes the hard-shell cases for Gibson guitars, so you can guarantee that it will work for your Flying V. The quality of the TKL also seems a bit better too. Bottom line: if you can find a TKL case, GET IT!, if not, this is probably a good second place option, but beware of the hinges.

I was looking for a V shaped case to fit my custom built guitar and was despairing that I would have to order a custom built case for it...after a phone call to SKB I ordered this at GC with the understanding that if it did not fit I could simply return it...it arrived in a timely manner and although the fit is not perfect the guitar is held snugly enough to keep it safe. Can't ask for more than that.

Very well made, locks are functional but seem a little frail. I personally didn't have to modify the case so I'm really happy. Really gives you peace of mind knowing your baby is safe.

Good, fairly affordable case for a Gibson "V". Pretty tuff. Been using mine for a while now, I got no complaints.
